Speaker(s):
Mr. Garry Jacobs
Notes:

Daily Messages Series 2 Pt. 346, 347, 348, 349, 350

346) The selfish man cannot bring himself to give. When he transforms his selfishness into selflessness, it is not easy to find people or causes that are deserving. Hence the giving of the unselfish man is necessarily indiscriminate.

347) As aspiration sets a limit to progress, rejection too sets a limit to progress.

348) Aspiration rises in intensity by the force of rejection accomplished.

349) In the absence of rejection, aspiration loses its intensity. Should one succeed in aspiration in spite of absence of rejection, the benefits will be absorbed by the material that should have been rejected.

350) Man is always too indulgent to himself even in matters of discipline which he has chosen. Rarely we find cases where man is too severe with himself. This is a folly or blindness created by the absence of realism.

Daily Messages Series 2 Pt. 351, 352, 353

351) The too severe discipline under which man puts himself creates openings for unalloyed exploitation by mean forces. Instead of weeding them out, man tends to increase the severity of his discipline which is a needless self-torture.

352) The right balance between inner discipline and external culture eliminates the exploitation.

353) In the absence of that balance, initiative based on common sense will lead to the weeding out of suckers.
