Series 9 - 33: Man’s emotions open only towards himself and to those who touch him. For the emotions to open to others only for their sake is sympathy bordering on compassion, which is a universal vibration.

Series 9 - 940: Ruth, mercy, emotion, compassion are NOT known to the mind. Either the emotions or the soul is their proper plane.

Series 11- 419: One characteristic of the higher consciousness, above the golden lid, is it is full of benevolence and compassion. It is felt by the fact of complete absence of violence. Its overwhelming strength enters us compassionately.  

Series 12 - 474: Compassion is the sweetness of grace, which is God in action.  

Series 17- 604: For compassion to rise, the vague impulses of grievances should have changed into clear urges of evolutionary appreciation.

Series 18- 328: The Force of compassion and benevolence is a crushing blow to the dark human energies that are unwilling to benefit from them. The Force of compassion is a crushing blow to the unresponsive.

Compassion and Understanding

Series 3 - 90: To persuade pettiness to dissolve or stand aside is to have compassion at its level of existence. 

Series 3 - 95: Compassion is the emotion of full understanding of the origin and existence of things.

Series 4 - 464: The compassion of the higher force—Grace—coming down to lower planes becomes increasingly suspect and, at some stage, becomes vulnerable to attack by the recipient.

Series 4 - 467: Patience is only divine compassion. Joy of self-discovery is beyond grace.
