Notes:

The basic rule of life is that strength accomplishes. Strength is at many levels. The result depends on the relative strength of many forces at each moment in time. What is not realized today may come later in life or in the next generation or next life. All sincere aspirations are fulfilled because they come from the soul and express the Supreme Will of the Divine.

Why do acts repeat? What are the rules? Why do some aspirations get fulfilled and not all?

  • We have to distinguish aspiration which is spiritual from desire, wish, mental or vital will.
  • Also we must distinguish goodness or goodwill as commonly judged in society by social standards from the higher WILL for GOOD of the psychic and spirit which is founded on the Will of the Supreme.
  • Some forces are progressive and growing stronger while others are regressive and are exhausting themselves so they can disappear. We have to distinguish the desire to preserve the past that has to be given up from the aspiration to express the divine will for spiritual evolution.

Sri Aurobindo's five dreams are five aspirations of the spirit. Indian Freedom was achieved in his life time on his birthday. Renaissance of Asia has come and is still coming today. The last three are still preparing, but the Supramental descent on earth, which is the essential condition for Divine Life, has also come.
