World War II

The Depression was from 1929 to 1932. Hitler came to power in 1933, led the world to WWII.

Money, especially the social power of money, when utterly mischievously misused to create the depression, had a direct international political consequence of putting Hitler in power through the worst of inflations. The result of this was to transform the character of money through the tortuous physical process of the war, which we saw in the Marshall Plan in the international economic boom of sixty years since the end of the war.

The principal is the reversal of the alchemy that Sri Aurobindo speaks of -- the best becoming the worst.
