Secrecy

131)     Any accomplishment is in Silence and Secrecy.

Those who publicise their launch, never complete the project.

The greatest victories are not announced by the beat of drums.

Why Silence and Secrecy?

What is their relation?

We enjoy good health all the time silently and disease attacks us for a period 1/100th of 1% of our lives. Disease makes noise, health is Silent.

A great nation enjoys decades of peace when no news of that peace ever comes out.

When she is attacked from outside or there is an aberration of her law and order, the whole world takes notice of it.

It strikes no one that those decades of peace were the work of longer time.

All those who have accomplished at successively higher levels know the above truth.

A work requires a vast amount of energy at various levels for its accomplishment.

A work may be well prepared and advanced at all stages but at the last stage it may stall  for years or decades.

Nuclear disarmament is one such work.

The public support for it is unanimous and overwhelming.

It has every argument in its favour. The greatest Minds have endorsed it and campaigned for it.

The one argument in its favour - the Cold War - is no longer there.

The movement has energy, force and power, but it still needs the political skills to convert that power into results.

Money is in a glut in the West.

Education is at a premium there.

16 years of education is compulsory.

In 1886 the US awarded one PhD while in 1986 there were 36,000 candidates who received PhDs.  What genius is today, PhD was in 1886..

This progress was because of widespread education.

If the minimum level of compulsory education is raised to a degree or PhD, in the next 100 years 36,000 geniuses will be born. The 20th century produced only a few of them.

Society is ready to produce geniuses.

It has all the necessary potentials.

That potential has not become a Social Power for this goal.

Therefore it is a goal unthought of.

For at least forty years physicists are thinking of looking at physics in terms of consciousness.

It is widely spoken of, enormous energy is released, but it is not directed by the social will into social force.

An accomplishment begins as aspiration, releases energy, which is directed to become force. The structure of social opinion converts the force into power for the skill to change it into results.

Each of these stages requires effort, direction, organisation, and training of skill.

Also each stage requires the support of SILENCE at one stage when it is prepared for moving up.

Once the energy or force or power is formed, SILENCE is not necessary.

Maybe there is another stage where publicity is necessary.

At the stage of publicity, one still needs Secrecy and Silence in some part of the work.

The Nobel Prize is publicised and gets vast publicity to the recipient. Its preparation is in utter secrecy.

In 1921 when Einstein was awarded the Prize he was boarding a ship at a Chinese port. The telegram was handed over to him at that point.

132)     Accomplishment without secrecy belongs to a few planes above.

It is true any serious accomplishment requires to be a closely guarded secret.

It is also true that accomplishment requires publicity.

Human choice is to act in these situations with discretion.

A greater profounder truth is every accomplishment has these two parts.

The inspiration Einstein had was in Silence, a secret present to him.

A team working on a project as the atom bomb is a collective achievement where no secrecy is possible. They too accomplish.

A private letter that contains no secret will compose itself richly when it is unseen by another eye.

Things develop in Silence and secrecy delivers them in public as in a public speech.

There are projects where one predominates and the other is in the background.

Empire building is mainly done by diplomatic geniuses.

They accomplish the essential parts of it in parties and dinners.

He who accomplishes inside in Silence and secrecy will accomplish outside in Parliament and the public.

Business, friendship, politics, public service, marriage, family, etc. meet with critical situations.

He who knows how to accomplish in secret and public and also know how to combine them in right proportion will accomplish most.

Michael Brecher has written a book on the succession in India after the deaths of Nehru and Shastri.

It is the most standard reference on that topic.

Morarji Desai publicly claimed his right in the first occasion.

Shastri never spoke.

The consensus was for Shastri who was chosen Prime Minister.

Shastri died within 1½years when again Morarji claimed his right publicly.

In the ensuing election Morarji was defeated and Indira was elected.

In 1977 thirteen years after the first contest, Morarji openly contended for the post forming a new party. He was unanimously chosen Prime Minister this time.

Brecher saw the value of the tradition of not asking for the job which was confirmed by life in 1964 and 1966 for Shastri and Indira.

Both times Morarji who broke the rule lost.

If a rule is true, its opposite is also true.

13 years after the initial contest the opposite rule became true.

There is more which is not discussed here.

There are rules by which a rule accomplishes.

There are rules by which the opposite rule accomplishes.

Both meet in a plane above.

Knowing the rules of that higher plane makes the Theory of Social Development clear.
