But death is there. | அப்படியெனில் மரணம் எப்படி வந்தது? |
Suffering is real. | துன்பம் இருக்கிறதன்றோ? |
No one can deny evil. | தீமை இல்லை எனக் கூற முடியுமா? |
What are they? | அவை என்ன? |
They are only limitations of truth. | அவை உண்மையின் சிறு உருவங்கள். |
Practically they have a positive effect. | நடைமுறையில் நாம் அவற்றை உணர்கிறோம். |
Essentially they are negative. | அடிப்படையில் அவை கெட்டவை. |
The truth is total. | சத்தியம் முழுமையானது. |
It is a unifying knowledge. | சத்தியம் அனைத்தையும் ஒன்று சேர்க்கும். |
There can be a fall. | அதனினின்று வழுவ முடியும். |
It could distort. | அது விகாரப்படுத்தும். |
The distorting consciousness is there. | விகாரம் விளக்கம் பெறும். |
It could be a partial experience. | அது பகுதியான அனுபவமாகும். |
It could be a fall into division. | அது பிரிவினைக்கு வழி செய்யும். |
The Hebrew Genesis speaks of this. | பைபிள் இதைக் கூறுகிறது. |
It is the same talk. | இதுவும் அதுவே. |
It speaks poetically. | காவியமாகப் பேசுகிறது. |
It is a parable. | கதையாக எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. |
That is a deviation. | சத்தியத்தினின்று அது விலகுவதாகும். |
He could not accept God fully. | மனிதனால் கடவுளை முழுமையாக ஏற்க முடியவில்லை. |
He could not accept Him purely. | தூய்மையாகவும் ஏற்க முடியவில்லை. |
He fell into a dividing consciousness. | பிரிந்துள்ள ஜீவியத்தை அடைந்தான் மனிதன். |
It brings dualities. | அது இரட்டைக்கு வித்து. |
Life and death are such. | வாழ்வும், மரணமும் எதிரானவை. |
Good and evil are there. | நன்மையும் தீமையும் அது போன்றவை. |
Joy and pain are such. | இன்பதுன்பம் இரட்டையாகும். |
Completeness and want is also a duality. | முழுமையும், குறையும் அதுவே. |
These are all fruits of a divided being. | ஜீவன் பிரிந்ததன் விளைவுகள் அவை. |
Bible calls it Adam and Eve. | பைபிள் அதை ஆதாம், ஏவாள் என்றது. |
We say it is Purusha and Prakriti. | நாம் புருஷன், பிரகிருதி என்கிறோம். |
Adam was the soul. | ஆதாம் ஆன்மா. |
Nature tempted him. | பிரகிருதி அவனைத் தூண்டியது. |
Therefore he ate it. | அதனால் அவன் பழத்தைத் தின்றான். |
There is redemption. | அதற்கு வழியுண்டு. |
We must recover the universal. | பிரபஞ்சத்தை அடைவதே வழி. |
The individual should become the universal. | மனிதன் பிரபஞ்சமாக வேண்டும். |
There is a spiritual term in the physical. | உடலில் ஆன்மா உண்டு. |
It is in the physical consciousness. | உடலின் ஜீவியத்திலுள்ளது அது. |
He must recover it. | மீண்டும் மனிதன் அதைப் பெற வேண்டும். |
The tree of life has a fruit. | வாழ்வு என்ற மரம் பலன் தருகிறது. |
By eating that one can be Divine. | அதைச் சாப்பிட்டால் தெய்வமாகலாம். |
Then he can live forever. | சாப்பிட்டால் மரணமில்லை. |
Soul in Nature can get it. | இயற்கையின் ஆன்மா அதைப் பெற முடியும். |
The above is the condition. | மேற்சொன்னதே நிபந்தனை. |
Divine has descended. | இறைவன் உலகுக்கு வந்துள்ளான். |
It descended into matter. | ஜடத்திலும் அவன் உறைகிறான். |
It has descended into its consciousness. | ஜடத்தின் ஜீவியத்தில் அவன் உள்ளான். |
It has a purpose. | அதற்கு ஒரு லட்சியம் உண்டு. |
To accomplish that purpose is essential. | அதை அடைவது அவசியம். |
For that the above is necessary. | அதற்கு மேற் சொன்னது அவசியம். |
There is a higher knowledge. | உயர்ந்த ஞானம் உண்டு. |
Man has a soul. | மனிதனுக்கு ஆன்மா உண்டு. |
It must recover that knowledge. | அது அந்த ஞானத்தைப் பெற வேண்டும். |
Good and evil have a knowledge. | நல்லதும் கெட்டதும் ஞானம் பெற்றவை. |
Joy and suffering too have it. | இன்பதுன்பமும் அப்படியே. |
Life and death also have it. | வாழ்வும் மரணமும் அது போன்றவையே. |
That knowledge must be recovered through these. | இவைமூலம் அந்த ஞானத்தைப் பெறவேண்டும். |
That knowledge reconciles them. | அந்த ஞானத்தை இவை இணைக்கின்றன. |
It identifies them in the universal. | பிரபஞ்சத்தில் அந்த ஞானம் இவற்றைக் காண்கிறது. |
It transforms their divisions. | இப்பிரிவினைகளை அது திருவுருமாற்றும். |
The divisions become the image of divine unity. | இப்பிரிவினை இறைவனின் உருவமாகும். |

Sachchidananda is extended. | சச்சிதானந்தம் நீள்கிறது. |
It is extended to all things. | அனைத்தையும் அது எட்டுகிறது. |
The extension is wide. | அது அகன்ற விரிவு. |
In widest commonalty it is extended. | அவ்விரிவு பரந்த பொதுத் தன்மையுடையது. |
It is also impartial universality. | அது பாரபட்சமற்ற பிரபஞ்சமாகும். |
We find them to be four. | அவை நான்கு. |
Death is one of them. | மரணம் ஒன்று. |
Suffering is another. | துன்பம் அடுத்தது. |
Evil and limitation are the next. | தீமையும், வரையறையும் அடுத்தவை. |
They are shadow-forms of Truth. | அவை சத்தியத்தின் நிழலுருவங்கள். |
They are luminous opposites to Truth. | பிரகாசமான எதிரிகள் அவை. |
We feel them. | நாம் அவற்றை உணர்கிறோம். |
To us they are notes of a discord. | அவை பிணக்கானவை. |
Unity is the order of the universe. | பிரபஞ்சம் ஒன்றுபட்டது. |
These formulate separation. | இவை பிரிவை உருவகப்படுத்துகின்றன. |
There should be understanding. | ஞானம் இருக்க வேண்டும். |
They create miscomprehension. | இவை தப்பாகப் புரிந்து கொள்கின்றன. |
There should be self-adaptation. | தாமே வளைந்து வரவேண்டும். |
There is an orchestral whole. | சங்கீதம் முழுமையானது. |
They should become part of it. | முழுமையில் அவை கலக்க வேண்டும். |
Instead they attempt independent harmonies. | மாறாக அவை தனியே பாடுகின்றன. |
Totality means harmony. | முழுமை என்பது சுமுகம். |
It is so even if it is partial. | பகுதிக்கும் அச்சுமுகம் உண்டு. |
Even the totality of the physical is so. | ஜடத்திற்கும் சுமுகம் உண்டு. |
Even if it leaves out what is beyond, it is so. | பின்னணியை மறந்தாலும் சுமுகம் உண்டு. |
It is true of what is behind also. | பின்னாலிருப்பதற்கும் உண்டு. |
Totality is a reversal. | முழுமை என்பது எதிராக மாறுவதாகும். |
It is a reversion to harmony. | பிணக்கிலிருந்து சுமுகமாவதாகும். |
These are no jarring opposites. | அங்கு கர்ணகடூரமான பிணக்கில்லை. |
Sachchidananda is transcendent. | சச்சிதானந்தம் கடந்தது. |
It is transcendent of forms. | அது ரூபத்தைக் கடந்தது. |
Forms are of the universe. | ரூபம் பிரபஞ்சத்திற்குரியது. |
Forms create dual terms. | ரூபம் இரட்டையை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது. |
The dual terms cannot be applied to Sachchidananda. | இரட்டை சச்சிதானந்தத்திற்கு ஒவ்வாது. |
Transcendence transfigures. | கடந்தால் திருவுருமாறும். |
It does not reconcile. | பிணக்கை மட்டும் அது நீக்கவில்லை. |
It transmutes the opposites. | எதிர்ப்பை சுமுகமாக்குகிறது. |
Their opposition is effaced. | எதிர்ப்பை அழிக்கிறது. |
Their opposition is surpassed. | எதிர்ப்பைக் கடக்கிறது. |

We have a first task. | நமக்கு முதற்கடமை ஒன்றுள்ளது. |
It is with the individual. | அது மனிதனைப் பற்றியது. |
We must unite him to the totality. | அவனை முழுமையோடு இணைக்க வேண்டும். |
There is the value of the universe. | பிரபஞ்சம் என்பது பண்புருவானது. |
It comes to us through our consciousness. | அவை நம் ஜீவியம் மூலம் வருகிறது. |
Our progress justifies it. | முன்னேற்றத்தால் அதை அறிகிறோம். |
Our experience justifies it too. | அனுபவம் கூறுவது அதுவே. |
This human experience is not final. | மனித அனுபவம் முடிவன்று. |
Our experience is not complete. | நம் அனுபவம் பூரணமானதன்று. |
Nor is it ultimate. | அதுவே முடிவன்று. |
The physical world is seen by us. | நாம் ஜட உலகைக் காண்கிறோம். |
Our sense organs see it. | புலன்களால் அறிகிறோம். |
Our sense capacity sees it. | புலனின் திறமையால் அறிகிறோம். |
They see it differently from what they are. | புலன் பார்ப்பது வேறு, ஜடமுள்ளது வேறு. |
Likewise there may be other capacities. | அதேபோல் வேறு திறமைகள் உள்ளன. |
It may be mental or supramental. | அது மனத்திற்கோ, சத்தியஜீவியத்திற்கோ உரியவையாக இருக்கலாம். |
Their vision may surpass ours. | அந்த திருஷ்டி நம்மைக் கடந்தது. |
These are states of other consciousness. | ஜீவியத்திற்கு வேறு நிலைகள் உண்டு. |
There Death is not death. | அங்கு மரணம் அழிவன்று. |
It is simply a change in immortal life. | அமரவாழ்வில் மரணம் அங்கு ஒரு மாற்றமே. |
There pain is seen differently. | வலியையும் அங்கு வேறாகப் புரிந்து கொள்கிறோம். |
It is a violent wave of delight. | ஆனந்தம் கடுமையாகப் பின்னால் புரள்வதே வலி. |
Limitation is perceived as difficulty. | இயலாமையை வேறு விதமாகப் புரிந்துகொள்கிறோம். |
It is the Infinite tuning upon itself. | அனந்தம் தன்னையே கட்டுப்படுத்திக்கொள்வதாக அறிகிறோம். |
Evil too is not evil. | தீமையைத் தீமை என அறிவதில்லை. |
It is good circling around its perfection. | நல்லதின் சிறப்பு நல்லதை வலம் வருவதே தீமை. |
It is not so in the abstract. | இது தத்துவமில்லை. |
This is true in actual vision. | ஞானம் இதை உணர்கிறது. |
Substantial experience confirms it. | நடைமுறை இதை நிரூபிக்கிறது. |
We strive towards self-perfection. | நாம் நம் சிறப்பை நாடுகிறோம். |
To arrive at that state of consciousness is important. | ஜீவியத்தை அடைவது முக்கியம். |
It is important for the individual. | இது மனிதனுக்கு முக்கியம். |
It is also indispensable. | இது தவிர்க்க முடியாதது. |

Ordinary life-experience needs senses. | வாழ்வுக்குப் புலன் அவசியம். |
The sense-mind is dualistic. | புலன் அறிவு எதையும் இரண்டாகக் காணும். |
It gives practical values. | இது நடைமுறைக்கு அவசியம். |
This is our present standard. | நாம் இன்று இப்படியே வாழ்கிறோம். |
Presently we must accept it. | இன்று இதை நாம் ஏற்க வேண்டும். |
Our sense-mind can enter a larger harmony. | புலன் பரந்த ஞானத்தைத் தேட முடியும். |
They can transform themselves. | புலன் திருவுரு மாற முடியும். |
They need not lose their present realities. | இன்றைய நிலையை விடாமல் பெரியதை அடையலாம். |
Now they represent those realities. | புலன் இன்றைய தேவைகளைப் பிரதிபலிக்கிறது. |
Until then we must hold on to the sense-mind. | இது தேவைப்படும்வரை, நாம் புலனை விடக்கூடாது. |
The sense-faculties can be enlarged. | புலன்களை புதுப்பிக்கலாம். |
It can be done without the higher knowledge. | பெரிய ஞானமின்றியும் அதைச் செய்யலாம். |
They may not rightly interpret realities. | புலன்களுக்கு நடைமுறை உயர்ந்ததாகப் புரியாது. |
They may not have the right standpoint. | எது சரி என அவற்றிற்குத் தெரியாமலிருக்கலாம். |
But, it will lead to serious disorders. | அப்படிச் செய்தால் இருப்பதும் போகும். |
It might incapacitate the senses. | புலன்கள் திறனிழக்கும். |
It may render them unfit for practical life. | அன்றாட வாழ்வுக்கு உதவாமற் போகும். |
Reason needs discipline. | பகுத்தறிவுக்குக் கட்டுப்பாடு அவசியம். |
It needs an orderly use of it. | பகுத்தறிவை முறையாகப் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும். |
Neither of them is possible if we hurry. | நாம் அவசரப்பட்டால் இரண்டும் முடியாது. |
Or, our mental consciousness can be enlarged. | மனத்தைப் பெரியதாக்கலாம். |
It would be out of our egoistic experience. | நம் அகந்தை அப்பொழுது விரிவடையும். |
It is of dualities. | அது இரட்டையாகும். |
It may give some form of total consciousness. | ஓரளவு அது முழுமையான ஜீவியத்தைத் தரும். |
It would give an unregulated unity. | கட்டுப்படாத ஒற்றுமை எழும். |
Today world’s realities are established. | இன்றைய உலகம் நிலையானது. |
Therefore humanity lives actively. | அதனால் மனிதகுலம் இயங்குகிறது. |
This then, would be confused. | நாம் மனத்தை மாற்றினால் குழப்பம் வரும். |
It would be incapacitated. | உள்ள திறமையும் போகும். |
Gita gives an injunction. | கீதை கண்டித்துப் பேசுகிறது. |
The ignorant is not to be disturbed. | பாமரனை நாம் தொடக்கூடாது. |
His thought basis must remain. | அவன் நம்புவதை ஏற்கவேண்டும். |
His life-basis must not be disturbed. | அவன் வாழ்வைச் சிதறடிக்கக்கூடாது. |
Gita’s injunction has this root. | இவ்வடிப்படையில் கீதை பேசுகிறது. |
The ignorant may be impelled by a higher example. | பாமரன் இலட்சியவாதியை ஏற்கலாம். |
He may not understand it. | அவன் புரியாமல் பின்பற்றலாம். |
He would lose his own knowledge. | அதைச் செய்தால் பாமரனுக்குச் சொந்த அறிவும் போகும். |
But he would not gain the higher knowledge. | புதிய அறிவும் வாராது. |

Such a disorder can be accepted. | இக்குழப்பத்தை ஏற்கலாம். |
Its incapacity too may be accepted. | இதன் இயலாமையையும் ஏற்கலாம். |
It could only be personal. | தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் இதைச் செய்யலாம். |
Many great souls have done it. | பெரிய ஆத்மாக்கள் இதைச் செய்துள்ளனர். |
It was a temporary measure. | இதைத் தற்காலிகமாக ஏற்கலாம். |
It has its price. | ஏற்பதின் நிபந்தனை இது. |
A wider existence demands it. | பெரிய அனுபவம் வேண்டுமானால் இதைச் செய்யவேண்டும். |
There is a right goal of human progress. | முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு இலட்சியம் உண்டு. |
There is a law of that wider existence. | பெரிய அனுபவத்திற்கு சட்டம் உண்டு. |
It must represent the new order of truths. | புது சத்தியத்தை அது ஏற்கவேண்டும். |
It would be more just and more powerful. | அது நியாயமானதாகவும், சக்தி வாய்ந்ததாகவுமிருக்கும். |
The faculties will work on a new basis. | புது அடிப்படையில் நம் திறமை வேலை செய்யும். |
It would handle the life material of the universe. | பிரபஞ்ச வாழ்வை அது ஏற்கும். |
It would be a synthetic representation. | அது உண்மையான பிரதிபலிப்பாகும். |
Senses see the sun going round the earth. | சூரியனை, பூமி சுற்றுவதைப் புலன்கள் காண்கின்றன. |
It is a misconception. | இது தவறு. |
Senses are their centre of existence. | புலனே இதன் மையம். |
Motions of life are arranged on this basis. | வாழ்வு இதனடிப்படையில் அமைகிறது. |
The opposite is the truth. | உண்மை எதிரானது. |
There is now a new science. | புது விஞ்ஞானம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. |
It makes the new conception of the centre. | புதியதை அது மையமாக்குகிறது. |
It creates a new knowledge. | புது ஞானம் ஏற்படுகிறது. |
It is reasoned and ordered. | ஒழுங்காகவும், அறிவுக்கும் பொருத்தமானது அது. |
It puts the right values on the senses. | புலன்களுக்கும் புதுப் பார்வையை அளிக்கிறது. |
It is so with mental consciousness. | மனதின் ஜீவியமும் அப்படியே. |
The personal ego is its centre. | அகந்தை அதன் மையம். |
For it, God moves around it. | கடவுள் தன்னைச் சுற்றுவதாக அகந்தை கூறுகிறது. |
Ego judges His works. | அகந்தை தன்னை முடிவாகக் கொள்கிறது. |
Senses, emotions and perceptions do this. | புலன்கள், உணர்வுகள், அறிவு இதைச் செய்யும். |
It is a perversion. | இது கிறுக்கு. |
It is a reversion of the truth of things. | உண்மையைத் தலைகீழே மாற்றுவதாகும். |
Yet, it is useful now. | எனினும், இது இன்று பயன் தரக்கூடியது. |
It is practically sufficient now. | இன்றைய வாழ்வுக்கு இது போதும். |
For our level of progress it is enough. | நாமுள்ள நிலைக்கு இது போதும். |
It is a practical systematisation. | நடைமுறைக்குரிய ஏற்பாடு இது. |
It is rough and approximate. | உத்தேசமாகச் செய்த மதிப்பு இது. |
We live in certain activities. | நாம் ஒரு வகையாகச் செயல்படுகிறோம். |
We have our ideas. | நம் எண்ணங்கள் விவரமானவை. |
To them this is all right. | அவற்றிற்கு இந்த ஏற்பாடு போதும். |
But this is not the highest. | ஆனால் இது உயர்ந்ததன்று. |
Nor is this last. | இதுவே முடிவானதன்று. |
Human knowledge can rise higher. | மனித அறிவுக்கு மேலும் உயர்வுண்டு. |
Human life too can have greater heights. | மனித வாழ்வு இனியும் உயரலாம். |
Truth is its path. | சத்தியமே அதன் பாதை. |
Falsehood is not its path. | பொய்யன்று. |
The truth is different. | சத்தியம் என்பது வேறு. |
God does not move around the ego. | கடவுளுக்கு அகந்தை மையமன்று. |
Ego is not the centre of existence. | வாழ்வின் மையம் அகந்தையன்று. |
Ego’s view is dual. | அகந்தை எதையும் இரண்டாகக் காணும். |
Ego cannot judge the centre of existence. | வாழ்வின் மையத்தை அகந்தை காணமுடிவதில்லை. |
The Divine is the centre of life. | இறைவன் வாழ்வின் மையம். |
The individual has his experience. | மனிதனுக்கு அனுபவமுண்டு. |
Its truth lies in its universe. | அதன் சத்தியம் பிரபஞ்சத்திற்குரியது. |
It also lies in the transcendent. | அதே சத்தியம் பரமாத்மாவிலும் உள்ளது. |
The new can be substituted for the old. | பழையதை மாற்றி, புதியதை வைக்கலாம். |
Even that may still be false. | அதுவும் பொய்யாக இருக்கலாம். |
It would even be arbitrary. | தான்தோன்றித்தனமாகவுமிருக்கலாம். |
It would not have adequate basis of knowledge. | அதற்குப் போதுமான ஞானத்தின் அஸ்திவாரமிருக்காது. |
This will be violent. | மாற்றம் புரட்சிகரமானது. |
If done rightly, it will be a settled disorder. | சரியாகச் செய்தால் ஒழுங்கான குழப்பமாயிருக்கும். |
But disorder of right values. | குழப்பமாயினும் சரியான பண்புக்குரியதாகும். |
History knows such changes. | அதுபோன்ற மாற்றங்களைச் சரித்திரம் அறியும். |
New religions begin that way. | புதிய மதங்கள் அப்படியே உற்பத்தியாகின்றன. |
New philosophy starts like that. | புதிய தத்துவங்களும் அப்படி எழுந்தவையே. |
Useful revolutions are thus initiated. | உயர்ந்த புரட்சிகள் அப்படி நடக்கின்றன. |
But the true goal is different. | உண்மையான இலக்கு வேறு. |
There the central conception would be right. | அதில் மையக்கருத்து, சரியாக இருக்கும். |
It will be a reasoned knowledge. | அது பகுத்தறிவுக்குப் பொருத்தமானதாக இருக்கும். |
It will be effective too. | அது பலன் தரும். |
All egoistic values will be transformed there. | இதன்மூலம் அகந்தையின் நிலை எல்லாம் மாறும். |
Transformed, they will be corrected too. | மாறும்பொழுது திருந்தும். |
We can possess that new order. | அப்புதிய அமைப்பை நாம் ஏற்கலாம். |

It will be a new order of truths. | அது சத்தியத்தின் அமைப்பாகும். |
It can substitute for our present life. | நம் இன்றைய வாழ்வுக்குப் பதிலாக அதை ஏற்கலாம். |
It can be a more divine life. | அது தெய்வீக வாழ்வாகும். |
It will better use our faculties. | நம் கரணங்களை அது நன்கு பயன்படுத்தும். |
Those faculties will work on the life material. | இவை வாழ்வு நிலைகளை நல்லமுறையில் பயன்படுத்தும். |
It would be a life material of the universe. | அது பிரபஞ்சத்தின் வாழ்வாகும். |
What matters is divine existence. | தெய்வீக வாழ்வே நமக்குரியது. |
We conceive of its nature according to us. | நாம் நமக்குரிய முறையில் அதைப் புரிந்து கொள்கிறோம். |
The great verities decide our conception. | சத்தியக்கூறுகள் நம் அறிவை நிர்ணயிக்கின்றன. |
We need to realise it. | இதை நாம் உணரவேண்டும். |
Human life depends on it. | மனித வாழ்வு இதைப் பொருத்தது. |
The power of that life too depends on it. | அதன் திறனும் இதைப் பொருத்தது. |
It must start giving up the ego. | அகந்தையை விடுவதே அதன் ஆரம்பம். |
Ego has false stands. | அகந்தை பொய்யானது. |
It has false certainties. | பொய்யை நம்புகிறது அகந்தை. |
There is the totality above. | முழுமை மேலேயிருக்கிறது. |
Ego is really part of it. | அகந்தை அதன் பகுதி. |
Ego can enter into relations with the totality. | அகந்தை முழுமையுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்ள முடியும். |
It must be a right relation. | அது சரியான தொடர்பாக இருக்கவேண்டும். |
Ego is descended from the transcendence. | அகந்தை பரமாத்மாவிலிருந்து வந்ததேயாகும். |
Ego can open to the totality and transcendence. | முழுமையையும் பரமாத்மாவையும் அகந்தை நாடலாம். |
It must be a self-opening. | அர்ப்பணத்தால் அதைச் செய்யலாம். |
It opens to a truth and a law. | சத்தியம், சட்டம் ஆகியவற்றை அகந்தை நாடவேண்டும். |
They exceed the conventions of the ego. | அவை அகந்தையின் நிலைகளைக் கடந்தது. |
That truth fulfils. | சத்தியம் பூரணப்படுத்தும். |

Ego has created its own values. | அகந்தை தனக்கேயுரிய சட்டங்களை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. |
All these values must be abolished. | அவை அனைத்தும் அழிக்கப்பட வேண்டியவையாகும். |
That should be the goal. | அதுவே இலக்கு. |
Now it suffers limitation. | இப்பொழுது வரையறை உண்டு. |
Ignorance and death are there for the ego. | மரணமும், அறியாமையும் அகந்தைக்குண்டு. |
Ego now suffers suffering and evil. | துன்பமும், தீமையும் அதனுடையது. |
To absorb them is its crown. | அவற்றை அழிப்பதே மகுடம். |

The transcendence is not possible on earth. | உலகில் பரமாத்மா வரமுடியாது. |

The terms of human life are egoistic. | மனிதவாழ்வு அகந்தையாலானது. |
The egoistic valuations bind them. | அகந்தையின் சட்டங்கள் அதை ஆள்கின்றன. |
Therefore abolition is not possible. | அதனால் இவற்றை அழிக்க முடியாது. |
One may say life in its nature is individual. | வாழ்வே தனிமனிதனுக்குரியது எனலாம். |
It is an individual phenomenon. | அது தனியாக வாழப்பட வேண்டியது. |
It is not a representation of universal existence. | பிரபஞ்சத்தை பிரதிபலிக்கவில்லை எனலாம். |
There is no Life-Spirit. | வாழ்வுக்கு ஆன்மா இல்லை. |
It does not breathe life into man. | மனிதனுக்கு அது ஜீவன் அளிப்பதில்லை. |
The dualities are the essence of all living. | வாழ்வு எனில் இரண்டாகப் பிரிவதே. |
They are the very condition of life. | இதுவே வாழ்வின் சட்டம். |
They are not merely individual responses. | இது மனிதனால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டதில்லை. |
Limitation is life’s inalienable nature. | வாழ்வின் கூறு வரையறையாகும். |
Our mind is made of such substance. | நம் மனம் அதனாலானது. |
Our body too is so. | நம் உடலும் அத்தகையதே. |
Disintegration is the true condition of life. | கரைவதே வாழ்வுக்கு முதல் சட்டம். |
It is also its last condition. | அதுவே முடிவானது. |
Death is the beginning and end of life. | மரணம் என்பது ஆரம்பம், முடிவு. |
Pleasure is inseparable from pain. | இன்பம் துன்பத்திலிருந்து விலகாது. |
They are the dual stuff of sensation. | உணர்வு அறிவது இரண்டாகவேயாகும். |
Emotion has light of joy. | உணர்வுக்கு சந்தோஷத்தின் பிரகாசம் உண்டு. |
It has a shadow of pain. | வலி அதன் நிழல். |
Grief consists of them. | கவலை என்பது இவற்றாலானது. |
Error accompanies truth. | தவறு சத்தியத்துடன் வருகிறது. |
They are two poles of knowledge. | ஞானத்தின் இருமுனைகள் அவை. |
Knowledge moves between them. | அவற்றிடையே ஞானம் தவழ்கிறது. |
The movement is eternal. | அது நிரந்தரமானது. |
If they are true, transcendence is impossible. | இவை உண்மையானால் பரமாத்மா இங்கு வரமுடியாது. |
Transcendence is not for human life. | மனித வாழ்வுக்கு பரமாத்மா இல்லை. |
You can seek it abandoning human life. | மனித வாழ்வை நீத்து அதை நாடலாம். |
Then man moves into Nirvana. | அங்ஙனம் நிர்வாணமெய்தலாம். |
It is beyond all existence. | அது சத்தியத்தைக் கடந்தது. |
Man attains to another world. | மேலுலகுக்கு மனிதன் போகிறான். |
It is a heaven. | அது சுவர்க்கம். |
It is different from our earthly life. | அது உலகவாழ்விலிருந்து மாறுபட்டது. |

The customary mind is fixed. | நம் மனம் பிடித்ததை விடாது. |

It is engrossed in the present. | நடைமுறையில் தன்னை மறந்துவிடும். |
This mind lives by these associations. | நம் மனம் நிகழ்ச்சிகளால் வாழ்கிறது. |
There is a life still human. | இது மனிதவாழ்வு. |
Yet it is radically changed. | இருப்பினும், இது முக்கியமாற்றம். |
We are now our fixed circumstances. | நம் சந்தர்ப்பம் மாற முடியாதது. |
It is difficult to think of the new life. | புதுவாழ்வை நினைக்க முடியாது. |
We face our higher evolution. | பரிணாமம் நம்முள் உள்ளது. |
In this, we resemble the original ape. | இதில் நாம் ஆதிநாள் மனிதக் குரங்கு போலிருக்கிறோம். |
Darwin speaks of this ape. | டார்வின் இதைப்பற்றிப் பேசுகிறார். |
As the ape could not conceive of becoming man, man now cannot think of rising above. | இக்குரங்கால் மனிதனாக முடியும் என நினைக்க முடியாததுபோல், நம்மால் உயரமுடியும் என நினைக்க முடியவில்லை. |
The ape lives an arboreal life. | குரங்கு காட்டில் வாழ்கிறது. |
It lives in primeval forests. | ஆதிநாள் காடு அது. |
Its life is instinctive. | குரங்கின் வாழ்வு இயல்பானது. |
How could it think of becoming a man. | மனிதனாக முடியும் என அதனால் எப்படி நினைக்க முடியும்? |
Man uses reason. | மனிதன் அறிவால் செயல்படுகிறான். |
He uses it on the outer life. | தன் புறவாழ்வில் அறிவு அவனுக்கு பயன்படுகிறது. |
On the inner life too man uses reason. | அகவாழ்வுக்கும் அறிவுண்டு. |
Reason of man dominates his habits. | அவனுக்கு பழக்கங்களை விட அறிவு முக்கியம். |
The ape’s instinct is dominated too. | குரங்கின் இயல்பும் அறிவுக்குக் கட்டுப்படும். |
Man changes his physical life. | மனிதன் தன் வாழ்வை மாற்றுகிறான். |
His reason changes the very circumstances. | அவனறிவு சந்தர்ப்பத்தையே மாற்றுகிறது. |
He builds houses of stone. | கல்லால் வீடு கட்டுகிறான். |
He manipulates Nature’s forces. | இயற்கையைத் தன் வயம் இழுக்கிறான். |
He sails the seas, rides the air. | கடலிலும், காற்றிலும் பயணம் செய்கிறான். |
He develops codes of conduct. | சட்டதிட்டங்களை வகுக்கிறான். |
Evolves methods. | முறைகளை உருவாக்குகிறான். |
Thus he develops his mind and spirit. | இப்படி அறிவையும், ஆன்மாவையும் வளர்க்கிறான். |
Maybe that too is possible for the ape. | இது குரங்காலும் முடியும் போலும். |
Still could he think that he would become man one day? | இருப்பினும், ஒரு நாள் தானே மனிதனாவதை அதனால் நினைக்க முடியுமா? |
What effort of Will will do it? | அதற்கென்ன மன உறுதி வேண்டும்? |
Is there a tendency that can achieve it? | அதைச் சாதிக்கும் மனப்போக்கு உண்டா? |
Man acquired reason. | மனிதன் பகுத்தறிவைப் பெற்றான். |
He indulged in imagination. | கற்பனையிலாழ்ந்தான். |
He developed intuition also. | ஞானத்தையும் வளர்த்தான். |
Therefore he conceives of higher existence. | எனவே உயர்ந்த வாழ்வு அவனறிவுக்கெட்டியது. |
It is higher than his own present life. | இன்றைய வாழ்வைவிட அது உயர்ந்தது. |
He envisages personal elevation. | தான் உயருவதை அவனால் காண முடிந்தது. |
It is beyond his present state. | இன்றைய நிலையை விட அது உயர்ந்தது. |
He has an idea of the supreme state. | உச்சகட்டத்தைப் பற்றி அவன் நினைக்கின்றான். |
It is an absolute of all that is positive. | நல்லது மட்டுமே நிறைந்த நிலை அது. |
He instinctively desires it. | இயல்பாக அதை மனிதன் நாடுகிறான். |
He aspires to that concept. | அவ்விலட்சியத்தை அவன் நாடுகிறான். |
It is pure knowledge. | அது பவித்திரமான ஞானம். |
It is without a negative shadow. | அதில் குறை கலப்பில்லை. |
That is an error. | அது தவறு. |
He needs no such errors. | எந்தத் தவறும் அவனுக்குத் தேவையில்லை. |
He asks for pure Bliss. | கலப்பில்லாத இன்பத்தை அவன் நாடுகிறான். |
Suffering is its negative experience. | துன்பம் இதற்கு எதிரானது. |
He asks for Bliss without suffering. | துன்பக் கலப்பற்ற இன்பம் அவன் இலக்கு. |
Power is not always capable. | சக்திக்குக் குறையுண்டு. |
It is accompanied by incapacity. | எந்த நேரமும் அது தவறும். |
He seeks pure power. | கலப்பற்ற சக்தியை மனிதன் நாடுகிறான். |
Purity is accompanied by defect. | தூய்மையில் குறையுண்டு. |
Plenitude follows limitation. | பூரணத்திற்கு அளவுண்டு. |
He seeks them absolutely. | கலப்பின்றி மனிதன் அவற்றை நாடுகிறான். |
God is, to man, Bliss, Power and Purity. | இன்பம், தூய்மை, சக்தி என்பவை கடவுள். |
His heaven is like that. | அது மனிதனுடைய சுவர்க்கம். |
His reason is different. | அவன் அறிவு மாறுபட்டது. |
It conceives of possible humanity. | மனித குலத்தை அவன் கருதுகிறான். |
He thinks of possible earth. | பூமாதேவியின் புதுமையை நினைக்கின்றான். |
His earth is not like his heavens. | சுவர்க்கமாக உலகைக் கற்பனை செய்கிறான். |
He dreams of God. | கடவுளைப்பற்றிக் கற்பனை செய்கிறான். |
He dreams of heaven. | சுவர்க்கத்தைப் பற்றியும் கற்பனை செய்கிறான். |
It is a dream of his own perfection. | தன் சிறப்பைப் பற்றிய கனவுகள் அவை. |
The ape cannot think of itself as future man. | குரங்கால் தன்னை எதிர்கால மனிதனாக நினைக்க முடியாது. |
Man cannot think of heaven on earth. | மனிதனால் பூலோகத்தில் சுவர்க்கத்தை நினைக்க முடியாது. |
Life is in this material universe. | வாழ்வு ஜட உலகத்தைச் சார்ந்தது. |
It is full of hard facts. | வாழ்வின் நிகழ்ச்சிகள் கடினமானவை. |
His imagination has an ideal. | மனித கற்பனைக்கு இலட்சியம் உண்டு. |

His religious aspiration has a goal. | மனித வழிபாட்டுக்கு ஓர் இலக்குண்டு. |
To his reason, they are superstitions. | அறிவு அவற்றை மூடநம்பிக்கை என்கிறது. |
Reason rejects imagination. | அறிவு கற்பனையை ஏற்காது. |
It rejects intuition too. | அது ஞானத்தையும் மறுக்கும். |
Intuition is transcendent. | ஞானம் பரமாத்மாவுக்குரியது. |
The goal is brilliant, but superstitious. | இலட்சியம் உயர்ந்தது, ஆனால் அது மூடநம்பிக்கை. |
It is of course inspiring. | கேட்க உற்சாகமாக இருக்கிறது. |
But the vision is impossible. | ஆனால் நடைமுறையில் சாத்தியமில்லை. |
What is possible here is different. | எது சாத்தியம் என்பது வேறு. |
Knowledge is here precarious. | ஞானம் இங்கே தடுமாறுகிறது. |
Happiness is conditioned. | சந்தோஷம் நாமே வைத்துக் கொள்வது. |
Power is limited. | சக்தி அளவானது. |
Good is followed by evil. | நல்லதும் கெட்டதும் சேர்ந்துள்ளன. |

Let us take a look at reason. | பகுத்தறிவு என்ன என்று காண்போம். |
Transcendence is there in it. | பரமாத்மா அதனுள்ளுள்ளது. |
Reason has one aim. | அறிவுக்கு ஒரு லட்சியம் உண்டு. |
It is to pursue knowledge. | ஞானத்தை நாடுவது அதன் லட்சியம். |
It seeks knowledge without error. | குறையற்ற ஞானத்தை அது நாடுகிறது. |
It is Truth that eliminates error. | தவற்றை விலக்கும் ஞானம் அது. |
It does not seek a lesser error. | மிகக் குறைந்த தவற்றைக் கருதவில்லை. |
We face dualities. | நாம் எதையும் இரண்டாகக் காண்கிறோம். |
There is right knowledge. | சரியான ஞானமுண்டு. |
Also there is wrong knowledge. | தவறான ஞானமுண்டு. |
From both we move to pure knowledge. | இரண்டையும் விட்டகன்று தூய்மையான ஞானத்தை நாம் நாடுகிறோம். |
It is pre-existent Truth. | ஆதியின் ஞானம் அது. |
There are other aspirations of humanity. | மனிதன் நாடுபவைகள் பல உண்டு. |
They are happiness, immortality. | சந்தோஷம், அமரத்துவம் அவை. |
Reason has a certitude of knowledge. | அறிவுக்கு ஞானத்தில் நம்பிக்கையுண்டு. |
It is instinctive. | அது யோக ஞானம். |
The same certitude is not there for happiness. | சந்தோஷத்தில் அதே நம்பிக்கையில்லை. |
Nor is it there for immortality. | அமரத்துவத்திலும் அதில்லை. |
Reason lacks the respective illuminations. | அவற்றிற்கேற்ற தெளிவு அறிவுக்கில்லை. |
It is essential. | அது அவசியம். |
All are its positive activity. | எல்லாம் நல்ல செயல்கள். |
Man can conceive of happiness. | மனிதனால் சந்தோஷத்தைப் புரிந்து கொள்ள முடியும். |
Its positive realisation can be conceived. | அதை மனிதன் விரும்பி முழுமையாக அடைய முடியும். |
Reason can conceive of an absolute realisation of happiness. | கலப்பற்ற சந்தோஷத்தை நாம் கற்பனை செய்ய முடியும். |
This instinct belongs to heart. | இதயம் உணர்ச்சிக்குரியது. |
Heart has its own form of certitude. | நெஞ்சத்தின் நம்பிக்கை அதன் பாணியிலிருக்கும். |
Heart is capable of faith. | உணர்வு நம்பும். |
Unsatisfied want causes suffering. | தேவை பூர்த்தியாகாவிட்டால் துன்பம் வரும். |
Mind can envisage its elimination. | அதை நீக்க மனம் முயலும். |
Pain belongs to nervous sensation. | வலி என்பது நரம்புணர்ச்சி. |
Death belongs to the life of the body. | மரணம் உடலுக்குரியது. |
How can we conceive of their elimination? | அவற்றை விலக்க முடியும் என நினைக்க முடியுமா? |
Yet, the truth is different. | இருப்பினும், உண்மை வேறு. |
Sensation has a sovereign instinct. | உணர்வுக்கு ஒரு ராஜ இயல்புண்டு. |
It is rejection of pain. | அதனால் வலியை மறுக்க முடியும். |
Our vitality has an essence. | நம் சக்திக்குச் சாரமுண்டு. |
That essence has a dominant instinct. | சாரத்திற்குப் பெருந்திறனுண்டு. |
It is rejection of death. | மரணத்தை மறுப்பது அது. |
Reason does meet them. | அறிவு அவற்றைக் காண்கிறது. |
Meets them as instinctive aspirations. | இயல்பான ஆர்வமாக அவற்றை அறிவு கருதுகிறது. |
For reason, they are not realisable potentialities. | அறிவு அவை நடக்கும் என நம்புவதில்லை. |

But the law is the same. | ஆனால் சட்டம் எல்லா இடங்களுக்கும் பொது. |
Practical reason has an error. | நடைமுறை அறிவுக்குக் குறையுண்டு. |
It is excessively subjected to apparent fact. | கண்ணுக்குத் தெரிவதை அதிகமாக நம்பும் பழக்கம் அது. |
It can see and feel the fact. | விஷயங்களைக் கண்ணுற்று, அதனால் உணரமுடியும். |
There are profounder facts of potentialities. | இது நடக்க இருப்பவற்றுள் பெரிய விஷயங்கள் இருக்கின்றன. |
They must be carried to their logical conclusion. | அவை என்ன என்று அறிவு முடிவாக யோசனை செய்ய வேண்டும். |
The courage of reason here is insufficient. | இந்த விஷயத்தில் அறிவுக்குத் தைரியம் போதாது. |
The present is past potentiality realised. | கடந்தது பலித்ததே நிகழ்காலம். |
Present potentiality can be realised in future. | இன்றைய விஷயம் நாளைக்குப் பலிக்கும். |
Here potentiality exists. | நடக்கக்கூடியவை ஏராளம். |
Knowledge of the cause of phenomenon is necessary. | விஷயங்களுக்குக் காரணத்தை அறிவது அவசியம். |
Process of the same also is necessary. | எப்படி நடக்கிறது என்றறிவதும் அவசியம். |
Mastery of phenomena comes out of it. | அறிவால் நமக்கு விஷயங்கள் கட்டுப்படும். |
We must know the cause of sorrow. | துன்பத்தின் காரணத்தை நாம் அறிய வேண்டும். |
We must understand death and pain like that. | மரணம், துன்பத்தை நாம் அப்படி அறிய வேண்டும். |
Then we can hope to eliminate them. | தெரிந்தால் அவற்றை விலக்கலாம். |
Knowledge is power and mastery. | ஞானம் என்பது திறன். |

Indeed we do pursue an ideal. | நாம் ஓர் இலட்சியத்தைப் பின்பற்றுகிறோம். |
We try to eliminate the negative phenomena. | அதிலிருந்து கெட்டதை விலக்க முயல்கிறோம். |
We try to eliminate adverse phenomena. | எதிரானவற்றையும் விலக்குகிறோம். |
We seek to minimise error. | தவற்றைக் குறைக்கிறோம். |
Constantly we do this. | இதை எப்பொழுதும் செய்கிறோம். |
We seek to minimise pain and suffering. | துன்பத்தையும் வலியையும் குறைக்கிறோம். |
The knowledge of Science is increasing. | விஞ்ஞானம் வளர்கிறது. |
It tries to regulate birth. | பிறப்பைத் தடுக்க முயல்கிறது. |
It wants to prolong life. | ஆயுளை நீடிக்க விழைகிறது. |
Death may not be conquered. | மரணத்தை வெல்ல முடியாமலிருக்கலாம். |
But it can be indefinitely postponed. | ஆனால் அதை தள்ளிப் போடலாம். |
Here we handle external causes. | இவை புறவாழ்வின் காரணங்கள். |
External causes are secondary causes. | புறவாழ்வில் காரணங்கள் இரண்டாம்பட்சமானவை. |
It can only remove them to a distance. | அதனால் விஷயங்களைத் தூரக்கொண்டு போக முடியும். |
It does not eliminate the actual roots. | வேரோடு விலக்க அதனால் முடியாது. |
We really struggle against them. | நாம் அவற்றுடன் போராடுகிறோம். |
We strive towards secondary perceptions. | நாம் தேடுவது மறைமுகமான அறிவு. |
Man does not move towards root-knowledge. | மனிதன் ஆழ்ந்த ஞானத்தை நாடுவதில்லை. |
Thus man is limited. | எனவே மனிதனுக்கு அளவுண்டு. |
This gives the process of things. | விஷயங்கள் எப்படி நடக்கின்றன என இதன் மூலம் அறிகிறோம். |
We miss the essence. | சாரம் இதனால் கிடைப்பதில்லை. |
We are now better than before. | முன்பிருந்ததைவிட நாம் இப்பொழுது நன்றாக இருக்கிறோம். |
We can better manipulate the circumstances. | இதனால் சந்தர்ப்பங்களை நாம் சமாளிக்கலாம். |
At the end, essential control eludes. | முடிவில், முக்கியமான விஷயம் தவறுகிறது. |
Instead, we could aim at essential nature. | நாம் அடிப்படையான சுபாவத்தை நாடலாம். |
Let us seek the essential cause of error. | தவற்றுக்கு அடிப்படையான காரணத்தைக் காண்போம். |
Let us know suffering and death like that. | மரணத்தையும், வலியையும் அதுபோல் காண்போம். |
That gives us mastery. | முடிவான திறமை அதன் மூலம் வரும். |
Here we avoid the relative. | குறையை நாம் இப்படித் தவிர்க்கிறோம். |
We aim at the entire totality. | முழுமையை நாடுகிறோம். |
There is a true solution. | இதுவே உண்மையான தீர்வு. |
Human being needs it. | இது மனிதனுக்குத் தேவை. |
It is ultimate. | இது முடிவானது. |
We know of good, bliss and knowledge. | நல்லது, ஆனந்தம், ஞானம் ஆகியவற்றை அறிவோம். |
Our intuition tells us of immortality. | மரணமற்ற வாழ்வை உள்ளுணர்வு அறிவிக்கிறது. |
We have a dominant instinct. | ஆழ்ந்த இயல்பு நமக்குண்டு. |
It is of our nature. | இது நம் சுபாவம். |
It can conquer them. | அது வெற்றி பெறும். |
It can eliminate their opposites. | எதிரானவற்றை அது விலக்கும். |

It is the essential fact. | அதுவே அடிப்படையான உண்மை. |
They realised Sachchidananda. | அவர்கள் சச்சிதானந்தத்தை அறிந்தவர்கள். |
They realised the nature of Brahman. | பிரம்மத்தின் சுபாவத்தை அவர்கள் அறிவார்கள். |

All emotions are its play. | எல்லா உணர்வுகளும் அதன் அலைகளாம். |
All sensations are its play too. | உடலுணர்வுகளும் அதுபோன்றவையே. |
We can get the essence of thought. | எண்ணத்தின் சாரத்தை நாம் அறியலாம். |
It is the essence of perception. | அது சிந்தனையின் சாரம். |
It is radiation of truth. | அது சத்தியத்தின் வீச்சு. |
It is all-pervading. | எங்கும் வியாபித்துள்ளது அது. |
It is universal. | அதுவும் பிரபஞ்சம் முழுவதும் பரவியது. |
There is good. | அது நல்லது. |
It is self-effecting good. | அது அழிவற்ற நல்லது. |
It is universal. | அதுவும் பிரபஞ்சத்திற்குரியது. |
Its progression is activity. | செயல் அதன் போக்கு. |
Maybe the essence of activities. | அதுவே செயலின் சாரம். |

Multiplicity permits that interference. | பல இருப்பதால் கலக்கமுடிகிறது. |
Self-limitation creates ego. | அகந்தை அளவால் ஏற்பட்டது. |
It is of consciousness. | அது ஜீவியம். |
It is a willed ignorance. | பிடிவாதமான அறியாமை அது. |
It is ignorance of the rest of the play. | புறத்தை அறியாத அறியாமை அது. |
It is exclusive. | தனித்தியங்குவது. |
It is absorbed in one form. | ஒரு ரூபத்தில் மறைந்துள்ளது. |
It is one combination of tendencies. | சில போக்கு கலந்து ஒரு நிலை. |
It is one field. | அது ஓர் அரங்கம். |
A field of energies. | அது சக்தியின் அரங்கம். |
Error, sorrow, pain, evil and death are reactions. | குறை, துன்பம், வலி, தீமை, மரணம் என்பவை நாமே ஏற்படுத்துவது. |
They are ego’s reactions. | அவை அகந்தையினுடையவை. |
Existence, Bliss, Truth and Good are there. | உண்மையில் அவை சத்தியம், ஆனந்தம், நன்மையாகும். |
Movements try to relate to them. | அசைவுகள் அவற்றுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்கின்றன. |
Right movements have right values. | சரியான செயலுக்குச் சரியான பண்புண்டு. |
Ego determines those movements. | அகந்தை இவ்வசைவுகளை நிர்ணயிக்கின்றது. |
They become reactions. | அவை அகந்தையின் பிரதிபலிப்பு. |
If ego is not there, there will be right values. | அகந்தையில்லாவிட்டால், நற்பண்புகள் மட்டுமிருக்கும். |
Truth, joy, happiness, good and immortality would have been the right values. | சத்தியம், ஆனந்தம், சந்தோஷம், நன்மை, அழியா வாழ்வு நற்பண்புகளாகும். |
We can recover the right relations. | அவற்றை நாம் மீண்டும் பெறலாம். |
That eliminates ego-reactions. | அதனால் அகந்தைக்கு இடமில்லாமற் போகும். |
We get then their true values. | அவற்றின் உண்மையான பண்புகளை நாம் பெற முடியும். |
This can be recovered. | அவற்றை மீண்டும் பெற முடியும். |
It needs right participation. | நல்ல முறையில் கலந்துகொண்டால், அது நடக்கும். |
The individual should relate to totality. | மனிதன் முழுமையுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்ள வேண்டும். |
It must be in the consciousness. | அது ஜீவியத்தாலானதாக இருக்க வேண்டும். |
It is the consciousness of the transcendent. | அது பரமாத்மாவின் ஜீவியமாகும். |
It represents the totality. | அது முழுமையினுடையதாகும். |

Then came later Vedanta. | பிற்கால வேதாந்தம் பிறகு வந்தது. |
Fixities crept in. | எண்ணம் குறுகியது. |
They arrived at fresh ideas. | புது எண்ணங்கள் எழுந்தன. |
They found ego the cause. | அகந்தையே காரணம் என அறிந்தனர். |
It is the cause of dualities. | இரண்டாகக் காண்பதன் காரணமதுவே. |
They said ego is the essential condition for existence. | பிரபஞ்ச வாழ்வுக்கு அகந்தையே முக்கியம் என்றனர். |
That way existence is in the universe for them. | அப்படி சத்தியம் பிரபஞ்சத்திலிருப்பதாகக் கருதினர். |
It leads to a new position. | இது புதியது. |
We are to get rid of the ego. | நாம் அகந்தையை விலக்க வேண்டும். |
Its limitation thus goes. | அதை அளவீட்டிலிருந்து விலக்குகிறோம். |
The dualities too go with it. | இரண்டாகப் பிரிவதும் போய்விடும். |
But if ego goes our existence too goes. | அகந்தை அழிந்தால், நம் வாழ்வும் அழியும். |
Our existence in cosmic movement goes thus. | பிரபஞ்ச வாழ்வும் பிறகு அழியும். |
Then we return to the base. | அடிப்படைக்கு வருகிறோம். |
It is essentially evil. | அடிப்படையின் சாரம் தீமை. |
It is illusory. | அது மாயை. |
It is one expression of human existence. | மனித வாழ்வின் ஓர் அம்சம் அது. |
Then all effort is in vain. | அப்படியானால் மனித முயற்சி வீண். |
Perfection is no longer worth pursuing. | சிறப்பை நாடமுடியாது. |
At best we can aim at a relative good. | முடிந்தவரை நல்லதை நாடலாம். |
It is always limited to its opposite. | அதன் எதிர்முனையுடன் அது தொடர்பு கொள்ளும். |
That is the maximum possible here. | இன்று அதிகப்பட்சம் முடிந்தது அதுவே. |
This is not final. | இது முடிவன்று. |
There is a larger idea. | இதைவிடப் பெரிய கருத்துண்டு. |
It is more profound. | அது ஆழ்ந்த கருத்து |
For that, ego is the intermediary. | அதற்கு அகந்தை இடைப்பட்டதாகும். |
It repersents something beyond. | அது பெரியதைப் பிரதிபலிக்கும். |
Then, this consequence is not compelling. | இம்முடிவு நம்மைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தாது. |
We then apply Vedanta for our fulfilment. | வேதாந்தத்தை நாம் பூரணம் பெறப் பயன்படுத்தலாம். |
It fulfils life. | அது வாழ்வைப் பூர்த்தி செய்யும். |
It avoids escaping from life. | வாழ்வை விலக்க வேதாந்தம் முயல்வதில்லை. |
The universal existence has an essential condition. | பிரபஞ்ச வாழ்வுக்கு முக்கிய நிபந்தனையுண்டு. |
It is the Lord. | அது ஈஸ்வரன். |
It is Ishwara. | அது ஈஸ்வரன். |
We call it Purusha. | நாம் புருஷனென்கிறோம். |
It manifests individuals. | ஜீவாத்மா அதிலிருந்து எழுகிறது. |
It occupies the individual. | அது ஜீவாத்மாவை ஆட்கொள்கிறது. |
It does so with universal forms. | பிரபஞ்ச ரூபங்களையும் அப்படியே ஆட்கொள்ளும். |
Ego is limited. | அகந்தை அளவுடையது. |
It is intermediate. | அகந்தை இடைப்பட்டது. |
It is necessary for a certain purpose. | இன்றைய சூழ்நிலையில் அது தேவை. |
We can follow this line. | நாம் இதைப் பின்பற்றலாம். |
Then the individual can go beyond himself. | அப்படியானால் ஜீவாத்மா தன்னைக் கடந்து செல்லமுடியும். |
He represents it. | ஜீவாத்மா அதன் பிரதிநிதி. |
He can continue to represent it. | தொடர்ந்தும் அதைப் பிரதிபலிக்கலாம். |
It need not be obscure. | இருண்டதாக அது இருக்காது. |
It need not be limited. | அளவுள்ளதாகவுமிருக்காது. |
It can be a centre of the Divine. | இறைவனின் மையமாக இருக்கும். |
It can be the centre of the universal. | பிரபஞ்சத்தின் மையமாகவுமாகும். |
All individual determinations are there. | மனித முடிவுகளெல்லாம் அதனுள் உள்ளன. |
It can embrace them all. | அவற்றை எல்லாம் தழுவும். |
It can utilise them all. | அவற்றை எல்லாம் பயன்படுத்தும். |
It can transform them into harmony. | சுமுகமாக அவற்றைத் திருவுருமாற்றும். |
It is a harmony with the Divine. | இறைவனுடன் கூடிய சுமுகமாகும். |

Now our outlook is different. | நம் நோக்கம் வேறு. |
The physical Nature is the foundation. | உடலின் சுபாவமே அடிப்படை. |
It is the foundation for two. | அது இரண்டுக்கு அடிப்படை. |
For human existence and material universe it is the foundation. | மனித வாழ்வுக்கும், ஜட வாழ்வுக்கும் அது அடிப்படை. |
This is the divine conscious Being. | அதுவே சத்புருஷன். |
It is the totality of Nature. | அது பிரகிருதியின் முழுமை. |
Nature is its manifestation. | பிரகிருதி அதன் வெளிப்பாடு. |
Life is involved Conscious Being. | வாழ்வு சத்புருஷனாலானது. |
It is inevitably evolving. | அது பரிணமிக்கிறது. |
Mind and Supermind are so. | மனமும், சத்தியஜீவியமும் அவை போன்றவையே. |
They are the conditions of our activities. | அவை நம் செயலை நிர்ணயிப்பவை. |
Man appeared in Matter by evolution. | மனிதன் ஜடத்திலிருந்து எழுந்தவன். |
It is a progressive evolution. | மெதுவாக எழும் பரிணாமம் அது. |
Man, thus, manifests God. | மனிதன் கடவுளின் வெளிப்பாடு. |
He does so in the body. | உடலால் அவன் வெளிப்படுகிறான். |
It is the universal Incarnation. | பிரபஞ்சம் உடலில் அவதரிக்கிறது. |
Egoistic formation is intermediate. | அகந்தை இடைப்பட்டது. |
It is a decisive factor. | அது முக்கியமானது. |
By that One emerges as many. | அகந்தை மூலம் ஏகன் அநேகனாகிறான். |
It emerges out of the general. | பொதுவான நிலையிலிருந்து அது எழுகிறது. |
It is indeterminate. | அது நிலையானதன்று. |
It is total. | அது முழுமையானது. |
It is obscure. | அது இருண்டது. |
It is formless. | அது உருவமற்றது. |
We call it subconscient. | ஆழ்மனம் என்கிறோம் அதை. |
It is hrdya samudra. | ஹிருதய சமுத்திரம் எனப்படும். |
It is the ocean heart. | சமுத்திரமான இருதயம் அது. |
This is Rig Veda’s description. | ரிக்வேத வர்ணனை அது. |
Life and death are dual. | வாழ்வும், சாவும் இரட்டைகள். |
Joy and sorrow are so. | இன்பமும், துன்பமும் இரட்டைகள். |
Pleasure and pain, truth and error, good and evil are so. | வலியும் சந்தோஷமும், உண்மையும் தவறும், நல்லதும் கெட்டதும் அப்படிப்பட்டவை. |
They are the first formation of ego. | அகந்தையின் முதலுருவங்கள் அவை. |
Ego naturally tries unity. | அகந்தை ஒற்றுமையை நாடுவது இயற்கை. |
It is this that it arrives at. | அது இங்கு வந்தடைகிறது. |
It is an artificial construction. | செயற்கையான ஏற்பாடது. |
It excludes total truth. | முழுமையை அது விலக்குகிறது. |
Good, life and delight are also excluded. | நல்லது, வாழ்வு, ஆனந்தமும் விலக்கப்படுகின்றன. |
Animal was a prelude to man. | விலங்கு மனிதனுக்கு முன்னோடி. |
Ego is the prelude to supreme fulfilment. | முடிவான பூரணத்திற்கு அகந்தை முன்நிலை. |
Ego can self-open to God and the universe. | கடவுளுக்கும், பிரபஞ்சத்திற்கும், அகந்தையை அர்ப்பணம் செய்யலாம். |
It will achieve it. | அது சாதிக்கும். |
Limited ego can be transformed. | அளவான அகந்தை திருவுருமாறும். |
The All can be realised in it. | அனைத்தும் அதனுள் சாதிக்கமுடியும். |
Ego, then becomes a conscious centre of divine unity. | அகந்தை தெய்வ ஒற்றுமையின் மையமாகும். |
Unity and freedom are terms that fulfil. | ஒற்றுமையும், சுதந்திரமும் பூரணம் தருபவை. |
Then the infinite outflows. | அனந்தம் அதனினின்று வெளிவரும். |
It is absolute Existence. | அது பூரண சத்தியம். |
It is Truth, Good and Delight. | அது சத்தியம், ஆனந்தம், நன்மை. |
It is the Delight of the Many in the world. | உலகில் அது ஜீவாத்மாவின் ஆனந்தம். |
It is a divine result. | அது தெய்வச் செயல். |
Cycles of evolution move towards it. | பரிணாமம் அதை நோக்கிச் செல்கிறது. |
Material Nature holds this in itself. | ஜடவாழ்வு இதைத் தன்னுள்ளே கொண்டுள்ளது. |
It is a supreme birth. | இதுவே உயர்ந்த புனர்ஜென்மம். |
Nature strives to deliver this. | பிரகிருதி இதைப் பெற்றெடுக்க முயல்கிறது. |
