The Reality is Transcendent. | சத்தியம் சிருஷ்டியைக் கடந்தது. |
It is luminous. | அது ஜோதிமயமானது. |
It is great. | அது பெரியது. |
Its revelations are progressive. | சத்திய வெளிப்பாடு வளரும் தன்மையுடையது. |
The Reality reveals as relativities. | சத்தியம் உலகமாக வெளிப்படுகிறது. |
They are various expressions of this world. | உலகத்தின் கூறுகள் அனைத்தும் சத்தியத்தின் உருவம். |
They are of other worlds too. | சத்தியம் மற்ற உலகங்களிலும் வெளிப்படும். |
We do not see these worlds. | அவ்வுலகங்கள் நம் கண்ணுக்குத் தெரியா. |
Those worlds are the means of Reality. | இவை சத்தியம் வெளிப்படும் வழிகள். |
They are its conditions and fields. | இந்த நிலைகளிலே சத்தியம் வெளிப்படுகிறது. |
This universe has a meaning. | பிரபஞ்சம் அர்த்தபுஷ்டியானது. |
This revelation is that meaning. | சத்திய வெளிப்பாடே அந்த அர்த்தம். |
The world is no illusion. | உலகம் மாயையில்லை. |
It is no accident. | தவறாக உலகம் சிருஷ்டிக்கப்படவில்லை. |
It has a meaning and aim. | உலகம் அர்த்தமுள்ளது. இலட்சியமும் உண்டு. |
The world is not a deceptive trick of Mind. | உலகம் மாயாஜாலமில்லை. |
The above reason leads us to this conclusion. | மேற்கண்ட காரணம் நம்மை இம்முடிவுக்குக் கொண்டு வந்துள்ளது. |
There is a view that the world is self-existent. | உலகம் தானே தன்னைச் சிருஷ்டித்தது என்பார் உண்டு. |
It is a mass of separate events. | நிகழ்ச்சிகளால் நிறைந்தது உலகம். |
The events cling together. | ஒன்றையொன்று பற்றியுள்ளன இந்நிகழ்ச்சிகள். |
They struggle with each other. | ஒன்றோடொன்று அவை மோதுகின்றன. |
It is an external struggle. | இது முடிவற்ற மோதல். |
They are blind, helpless forces. | செய்வதறியாத குருட்டுச் சக்திகள் அவை. |
Our view says this is not so. | இக்கருத்தை நாம் ஏற்பதில்லை. |
There is another view. | மற்றொரு கருத்தும் உண்டு. |
They consider the Forces ignorant. | உலகச் சக்திகளை அறியாமையின் சக்திகளாகக் கருதுபவருண்டு. |
It has no secret Intelligence. | இரகஸ்யமான புத்தி அவற்றிற்கில்லை. |
It is not aware of the beginning. | ஆரம்பத்தை அவை அறியா. |
It does not know its goal. | முடிவையும் அறிய முடிவதில்லை. |
Nor does it know the process or motion. | அசைவையோ, நடப்பையோ அறிய முடியாதவை அவை. |
It is a tremendous self-creation. | தானே தன்னை உற்பத்தி செய்து கொண்ட பிரம்மாண்டம் அது. |
It is also a self-impulsion. | தானே இயங்கவல்லதும் கூட. |
Our view contradicts even this view. | இதையும் நாம் ஏற்க முடியாது. |
Our view is it is a wholly self-aware existence. | உலகம் தன்னை முழுவதும் அறியும் என்பது நம் கொள்கை. |
It is entirely master of itself. | தன் மீது முழு ஆதிக்கமுள்ளது உலகம். |
It creates and possesses the world. | உலகைச் சிருஷ்டித்துப் பரிபாலிப்பது அது. |
It is involved in that world. | தான் சிருஷ்டித்த உலகில் அது புதைந்துள்ளது. |
The existence realises itself in form. | சத்தியம் தன்னை உலகம் என்ற உருவில் காண்கிறது. |
It unfolds in the individual. | ஜீவாத்மாவில் சத்தியம் மலர்கின்றது. |

It was a luminous Emergence. | அது ஜோதிமயமான சிருஷ்டி. |
It was the dawn of creation. | அது சிருஷ்டியின் உஷைக் காலம். |
Our Aryan forefathers worshipped it. | ஆரிய முன்னோர் அதைப் போற்றினர். |
The eye of vision extends to it. | ஞானதிருஷ்டி அதைக் காணமுடியும். |
It reaches the present heavens of Mind. | மனத்தின் சொர்க்கம் பவித்திரமாகும் நேரம் அது. |
It was the world-pervading Vishnu. | உலகைக் காக்கும் விஷ்ணு என்று நாம் அதை அழைக்கிறோம். |
Here that Emergence reaches perfection. | இங்கு அச்சிருஷ்டி பூரணம் பெறுகிறது. |
It exists already. | ஏற்கனவே அது அங்குள்ளது. |
It is an all-revealing Truth. | சர்வ ஞானம் தரும் சத்தியம் அது. |
It is an all-guiding Truth. | எல்லாவற்றையும் காண்பிக்கவல்லது. |
It watches over the world. | உலகை அது காக்கின்றது. |
Mortal men are attracted by it. | அநித்தியமான மனிதன் அதனால் கவரப்படுகிறான். |
The general march of Nature gives that attraction. | இயற்கை நியதியால் அக் கவர்ச்சி எழுகிறது. |
It is an unconscious attraction. | அது கண்மூடித்தனமான கவர்ச்சி. |
Man progressively awakens. | மனிதன் சிறிது சிறிதாக விழிக்கிறான். |
His self enlarges. | அவன் ஜீவன் பெருகுகிறது. |
This is conscious. | அவனறிந்து நடப்பது அது. |
Thus he ascends to the divine. | இவ்வழி அவன் இறைவனை நாடுகிறான். |
Man ascends to the divine Life. | தெய்வீக வாழ்வை மனிதன் இவ்வாறு நாடுகிறான். |
It is the human journey. | இதுவே மனித யாத்திரை. |
It is the Work of Works. | இது தலை சிறந்த கர்மம். |
This is acceptable sacrifice. | இறைவன் ஏற்கும் தியாகமிது. |
This is the real business of man. | இதுவே மனிதன் செய்ய வேண்டியது. |
This justifies his existence. | இது மனித வாழ்வை அர்த்தமுள்ளதாக்குகிறது. |
Otherwise he is a crawling animal. | இதன்றி மனிதன் மண்ணில் நெளியும் புழு. |
He is one of the short-lived insects. | க்ஷணத்தில் அழியும் பூச்சியாவான். |
They live on a speck of mud and water. | சிறு துளி மண்ணும், நீரும் அவற்றைச் சிருஷ்டிக்கின்றன. |
The Universe is immense. | பிரபஞ்சம் பிரம்மாண்டமானது. |
Its immensity baffles us. | அது நம்மைப் பிரமிக்க வைக்கும். |
Here the insect was formed out of mud. | இப்பெருவெளியில் சிறு புழு பிறக்கிறது. |
This is the Truth of things. | இதுவே உலகத்தின் சத்தியம். |
This has to emerge in the world. | உலகிலிருந்து இச்சத்தியம் வெளிப்பட வேண்டும். |
The world is full of contradictions. | உலகம் முரண்பாடானது. |
This emergence is infinite Bliss. | சத்தியம் எழுவது அளவிலா ஆனந்தம். |

It is self-conscious Existence. | இது தன்னை அறியும் சத்தியம். |
It is the same everywhere. | எல்லா இடங்களிலும் உள்ளது. |
It is the same in all things. | எல்லாப் பொருள்களிலும் உள்ளது. |
It remains so in all times. | எல்லாச் சமயங்களிலும் உள்ளது. |
It is also beyond Time. | இது காலத்தைக் கடந்ததுமாகும். |
Also it is aware of itself behind all these phenomena. | சிருஷ்டிக்குப் பின்னால் தானுள்ளதை இது அறியும். |
The phenomena are all intense in vibration. | சிருஷ்டி தீவிரமான ஜீவன். |
It is a large totality. | இது பெரிய பிரம்மாண்டம். |
The Existence is exhausted by this largeness. | சத்தியம் இதற்குக் கட்டுப்பட்டதன்று. |
Nor it is limited by this. | இதற்கு அடங்கியதுமில்லை. |
As we said, it is self-existent. | நான் சொன்னதுபோல், சத்தியம் சுயமானது. |
It dose not depend upon its manifestations. | சத்தியம் சிருஷ்டியைப் பொருத்ததன்று. |
They represent it. | சிருஷ்டி சத்தியத்தின் பிரதிநிதி. |
But they do not exhaust it. | சிருஷ்டியுடன் சத்தியம் முடிவதன்று. |
They point to it. | சிருஷ்டி சத்தியத்தைச் சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறது. |
But they do not reveal it. | சுட்டிக்காட்டுமே தவிர இது வெளிப்படுத்த முடியாது. |
It is revealed only to itself. | தானே தன்னை உணரவல்லது. |
The revelation is within their forms. | உருவங்களில் அது வெளிப்படும். |
The existense is involved. | சத்தியம் சிருஷ்டியில் கலந்துள்ளது. |
It is involved in the forms. | உருவங்களில் கலந்துள்ளது. |
It knows itself by intuition. | ஞானத்தால் தன்னையறியும். |
Self-vision and self-experience also know it. | திருஷ்டியும், அனுபவமும் அறியவல்லன. |
This happens as it evolves. | வெளி வரும்பொழுது நடப்பவை இவை. |
The Existence becomes the world. | சத்தியம் உலகமாகிறது. |
It does so by knowing itself. | தன்னையறிந்து சத்தியம் உலகமாகிறது. |
It knows itself by becoming itself. | உலகமாக மாறுவதில் தன்னையறிகிறது. |
It possesses itself inwardly. | தன்னைத் தானே பெற்றது. |
It gives delight to the forms and modes. | உருவமும் சுபாவமும் இதன் ஆனந்தத்தைப் பெறுகின்றன. |
This is a becoming of Bliss. | இது ஆனந்தம் வெளிப்படுவதாகும். |
It is also a becoming of existence. | இது சத்திய வெளிப்பாடுமாகும். |
Consciousness too does so. | ஜீவியமும் அதேபோல் வெளிப்படும். |
All this happens in mind, life and body. | மனம், வாழ்வு, உடலில் இவை நடைபெறுகின்றன. |
It exists externally outside them. | ஜீவியம் அவற்றையும் காலத்தையும் கடந்து உறைவது. |
This is the transfiguration. | இதுவே திருவுருமாற்றம். |
This is the utility of the individual. | ஜீவாத்மாவின் பயனிது. |
Through the individual it manifests. | சத்தியம் ஜீவாத்மா மூலம் வெளிப்படுகிறது. |

The unknowable knowing itself is creation. | பிரம்மம் தன்னையறிவது சிருஷ்டி. |
It knew itself as Sachchidananda. | பிரம்மம் தன்னைச் சச்சிதானந்தமாக அறிந்தது. |
Hence Sachchidananda was born. | எனவே சச்சிதானந்தம் பிறந்தது. |
This is the affirmation of Vedanta. | இது வேதாந்தம். |
It is its supreme discovery. | இது வேதாந்தத்தின் சிகரம். |
Sachchidananda contains all. | உலகம் சச்சிதானந்தத்துள் அடக்கம். |
All depend on Sachchidananda. | அனைத்தும் சச்சிதானந்தத்தைப் பொருத்தது. |
Explaining an experience, it can disappear, if there is no truth in it. | உண்மையற்ற அனுபவம் விளக்கத்தால் அழியும். |
Experiences can be appearances. | அனுபவம் தோற்றமாக இருக்கமுடியும். |
Appearances vanish by knowing their truth. | உண்மை தெரிந்தால் அனுபவம் மறையும். |
By explanations their shapes lose themselves. | விளக்கம் உருவத்தை அழிக்கும். |
Their coverings too can be thus explained. | தோற்றத்தின் போர்வை விளக்கத்தால் அழியும். |
This is negative elimination. | நம் அறிவை சுத்தப்படுத்தும் முறையிது. |
The forms can be reduced to their truth. | தோற்றத்தின் கருவைக் காண முடியும். |
The names too can be so reduced. | பெயரும் தன் கருவை வெளியிடும். |
This is positive elimination. | இம்முறை நல்ல முறையாகும். |
Life seeks Sachchidananda for fulfilment. | வாழ்வு பூரணம் பெற சச்சிதானந்தத்தை நாடுகிறது. |
It is so even for transcendence of life. | வாழ்வு தன்னைக் கடக்கவும் அதையே நாடுகிறது. |
Man seeks many things. | மனிதன் தேடுபவை பல. |
He seeks, purity, calm, freedom in the spirit. | தூய்மை, சாந்தம், சுதந்திரம், சக்தி, சந்தோஷம், பூரணம் ஆகியவற்றை |
Power, joy and perfection are his aims. | மனிதன் தேடுகிறான். |
For all these man seeks Sachchidananda. | இவற்றிற்கெல்லாம் அவன் நாடுவது சச்சிதானந்தமே. |
It is omnipresent, and indispensable. | அது இன்றியமையாதது. எங்கும் நிறைந்தது. |
Man’s seeking Sachchidananda is eternal. | காலம் காலமாக மனிதன் தேடுவது இதுவே. |

The Universe is an essential appearance. | பிரபஞ்சம் முக்கியமான தோற்றம். |
The individual is another essential appearance. | ஜீவாத்மாவும் அதுபோன்ற தோற்றமே. |
The Unknowable has descended into them. | பிரம்மம் பிரபஞ்சமாகவும், ஜீவனாகவும் வெளிப்படுகிறது. |
Therefore, we have to approach the unknowable here. | பிரம்மத்தைத் தேடுபவன் இவற்றை நாட வேண்டும். |
There are other collectivities. | வேறு முக்கியமானவை உள. |
They are intermediary forms. | அவை குறுக்கே வந்தவை. |
All of them are born of these two only. | பிரபஞ்சமும், ஜீவனும் இணைவதால் ஏற்பட்டவையே அவை. |
In fact, their interaction gave birth to them. | பிரபஞ்சமும் ஜீவனும் உற்பத்தி செய்தவையே அவையெல்லாம். |
The Supreme Reality descends. | பிரம்மம் கீழே வருகிறது. |
It is a self-concealing. | தன்னை மறைக்கும் வழியிது. |
There is not one level here. | இது ஒரு மட்டத்தில் மட்டுமில்லை. |
Several levels create several veils. | பல நிலைகள், பல திரைகளை ஏற்படுத்துகின்றன. |
So, revelation is an ascent. | எனவே வெளிப்பாடு என்பது மேலே போவதாகும். |
Ascent and revelation are progressive. | வெளிப்பாடும், மேலே போவதும் முன்னேற்றம். |
The Divine descends. | கடவுள் உலகுக்கு வருகிறார். |
Man ascends. | மனிதன் மேலே போகிறான். |
The Divine descent is man’s ascent. | தெய்வம் கீழே வருவது மனிதன் மேலே போவதாகும். |
The unknown God is hidden. | கடவுள் மறைந்துள்ளார். |
A veil hides God. | திரை கடவுளை மறைக்கிறது. |
The God-lover is God-seeker. | தபஸ்வி பக்தன். |
He unveils. | அவன் திரையை விலக்குகிறான். |
Thus the veil is an instrument. | எனவே திரை மேலே போகும் கருவி. |
It is an instrument of ascension. | திரை கருவி. |
Nature is material. | இயற்கை ஜடமானது. |
It is in slumber. | அது நித்திரையிலிருக்கிறது. |
It is unconscious of the Soul. | அதற்கு ஆன்மாவைத் தெரியாது. |
Nor does it know the Idea. | கருத்து என்பதையும் அது அறியாது. |
The Soul and the Idea maintain the world. | ஆன்மாவும், கருத்தும் உலகை இயக்குகின்றன. |
The world is of ordered activities. | உலகம் ஒழுங்கான செயல்களாலானது. |
Activities arise out of energy. | செயல்கள் சக்தியில் பிறக்கின்றன. |
Nature is dumb. | இயற்கை பேசியறியாது. |
It is in trance. | அது நித்திரையிலிருக்கிறது. |
Life is more quick. | வாழ்வு அசைவது. |
Life is varied. | வாழ்வு பல தரத்தது. |
Its rhythm is disordered. | வாழ்வின் அசைவுகள் குழப்பமானவை. |
Life labours to know itself. | வாழ்வு தன்னையறிய முயல்கிறது. |
The material world tries to move into life. | ஜடவாழ்வு அசையும் வாழ்வை எட்ட முயல்கிறது. |
Nature continues its struggle upwards. | இயற்கை அதன் போராட்டத்தைத் தொடர்கிறது. |
It moves from Life to Mind. | இயற்கை வாழ்விலிருந்து மனத்திற்குப் போகிறது. |
The human unit awakens. | மனிதன் விழிக்கின்றான். |
It awakens to itself and to the world. | விழித்து உலகையறிய முயல்கிறது. |
The Universe needs a leverage. | பிரபஞ்சம் ஒரு கருவியைத் தேடுகிறது. |
It needs it for its supreme work. | சிருஷ்டியின் இலட்சியத்தைப் பூர்த்தி செய்ய அது தேவை. |
It is its self-conscious individuality. | அதுவே தன்னையறியும் ஜீவாத்மா. |
Mind takes up the work. | மனம் வேலையை ஏற்கிறது. |
It continues. | ஏற்று வேலையைத் தொடர்கிறது. |
But it cannot complete. | மனதால் வேலையை முடிக்க முடியாது. |
Mind is a labourer. | மனம் உழைப்பாளி. |
It is acute, but limited in intelligence. | மனம் நுணுக்கமானது, ஆனால் அதன் அறிவுக்கு அளவுண்டு. |
Life’s material is confused. | வாழ்வு குழப்பமானது. |
Mind improves them, adapts them. | மனம் வாழ்வின் பகுதிகளை மாற்றி, அபிவிருத்தி செய்கிறது. |
Mind varies the material. | வாழ்வின் செயல்களை மனம் மாற்றி அமைக்கின்றது. |
It classifies it. | செயல்களை பகுத்து அமைக்கின்றது மனம். |
Mind hands them over to the Artist. | பகுத்தமைத்த விவரங்களை மனம் கலைஞனிடம் ஒப்படைக்கிறது. |
The Artist is the Supermind. | சத்தியஜீவியமே கலைஞன். |
It is the Artist of our divine manhood. | மனிதன் தெய்வமாகும் கலை அது. |
Supermind is Superman. | சத்தியஜீவியம் சத்தியஜீவன். |
Our world must climb beyond Mind. | நாம் மனத்தைக் கடக்க வேண்டும். |
Beyond is a higher status. | கடந்த நிலையில் உயர்ந்த நிலையுண்டு. |
It is a higher principle. | அது உயர்ந்த தத்துவம். |
It is a higher dynamism too. | அது உயர்ந்த திறனுள்ள சக்தி. |
Here the individual and universe meet. | இங்கு ஜீவாத்மாவும், பிரபஞ்சமும் சந்திக்கின்றன. |
Each explains to the other. | ஜீவாத்மா தன்னைப் பிரபஞ்சத்திற்கு விளக்குகிறது. அதுவும் அதையே செய்கிறது. |
Something contains both. | இரண்டையும் தன்னுட் கொண்டதொன்றுண்டு. |
They possess THAT. | அது பிரம்மத்தையுடையது. |
It is done in harmony. | அவை சுமுகமாக நடைபெறுகின்றன. |
Thus the individual and the universal are unified. | இவ்விதமாக ஜீவாத்மாவும் பிரபஞ்சமும் இணைகின்றன. |

The physical has an order. | உடலுக்கு ஓர் ஒழுங்குண்டு. |
It is really a disorder. | அதன் ஒழுங்கு உண்மையிலேயே குழப்பம். |
It pervades mind and life. | இக்குழப்பம் மனத்தையும், வாழ்வையும் எட்டும். |
There is a more perfect order. | இதைவிட உயர்ந்த ஒழுங்குண்டு. |
It is a secret. | அது இரகஸ்யம். |
We can discover it. | அதைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியும். |
Then the disorders cease. | அது குழப்பத்தை விலக்கும். |
Matter is below life and mind. | ஜடம் மனத்திற்கும், வாழ்வுக்கும் கீழேயுள்ளது. |
Life is full of energy. | வாழ்வு சக்தி நிறைந்தது. |
That energy is immeasurable. | அது அளவுகடந்த சக்தி. |
Action is action of that energy. | செயல் என்பது அச்சக்தியின் செயலாகும். |
Matter is tranquil. | ஜடம் அசைவற்றது. |
Its poise is perfect. | அதன் நிலை சிறப்பானது. |
Matter balances the action and this poise. | வாழ்வின் செயலையும், ஜடத்தின் நிலையையும் உடல் நிதானப்படுத்துகிறது. |
Matter contains this balance. | ஜடத்திற்கு இந்த நிதானம் உண்டு. |
But it has no mastery over that balance. | இந்த நிதானம் உடலுக்குக் கட்டுப்படாதது. |
The peace of Matter is dull. | ஜடத்தின் அமைதி ஜீவனற்றது. |
It is the peace of obscure inertia. | இருண்ட தாமஸ அமைதி அது. |
It is the peace of unconsciousness. | கண்மூடியானது. |
Matter is asleep. | ஜடம் தூங்குகிறது. |
Consciousness is imprisoned in Matter. | ஜீவியம் ஜடத்தில் சிறைப்பட்டுள்ளது. |
Matter appears drugged. | ஜடம் மயக்கமுற்றுள்ளது. |
The real self of Matter is force. | சக்தியே ஜடத்தின் கரு. |
The force drives it. | இச்சக்தி அதைச் செயல்பட வைக்கிறது. |
Matter does not understand the force. | ஜடம் இதை அறியவில்லை. |
Matter’s true energies are harmonious. | ஜடத்தின் சக்தி சுமுகமானது. |
Its joy is not yet awakened. | ஜடத்தில் சந்தோஷம் எழவில்லை. |
Matter does not seize its own joy. | தன் சந்தோஷத்தை ஜடம் இன்னும் அறியவில்லை. |

Life and mind awaken to this sense of joy. | வாழ்வும் மனமும் இச்சந்தோஷத்தைக் கண்டு கொண்டன. |
They strive. | அதைப் பெற அவை முயலுகின்றன. |
They are pushed by a troubled desire. | கசங்கிய ஆசை மனத்தையும் வாழ்வையும் உந்துகின்றது. |
They ignorantly seek. | அவற்றின் முயற்சி அறிவற்ற முயற்சி. |
So, they are baffled. | மனமும் வாழ்வும் திகைப்புற்று நிற்கின்றன. |
This is the first step to self-knowledge. | இதுவே ஞானத்திற்கு முதற்படி. |
Self-knowledge leads to self-fulfilment. | ஞானம் சித்திக்கு அழைத்துப் போகும். |
They speak of a kingdom to come. | வரப்போகும் சொர்க்கத்தைப்பற்றிப் பேசுகிறார்கள். |
It is a kingdom of self-fulfilling. | தன்னிறைவு பெறும் சாம்ராஜ்யமிது. |
Where is it? | அது எங்குள்ளது? |
Self-fulfilling comes by self-exceeding. | தன்னைக் கடந்தால், தன் நிறைவு பெறலாம். |
Beyond life and mind there is a divine truth. | மனத்தையும், வாழ்வையும் கடந்து இறைவன் சத்தியமுள்ளது. |
We recover it consciously. | நாம் அதை முனைந்து பெற வேண்டும். |
Material Nature represents it. | ஜட உலகமான இயற்கை அதன் பிரதிநிதி. |
But it does so grossly. | ஆனால் இயற்கை மந்தமானது. |
It is a state of tranquility. | அது அமைதி தவழும் நிலை. |
It is not inertia. | அது தாமஸ குணமில்லை. |
Nor is it a sealed trance of consciousness. | மூடியிட்ட ஜீவியம் நிஷ்டையில் மூழ்கிய நிலையுமில்லை. |
It is a concentration of force. | அதீதச் சக்தியின் அற்புதம். |
It is absolute force. | அது சக்தியின் முதலுருவம். |
It is absolutely self-aware. | தன்னைத்தானே முழுமையாக அறிந்த நிலையது. |
It is an action. | அது செயல். |
It is an action of energy. | அது சக்தியின் செயல். |
That energy is immeasurable. | அளவீட்டிலடங்காத சக்தியாகும். |

It is ineffable, but out-thrilling. | விவரிக்க முடியாதது, எனினும் புல்லரிப்பதாகும். |
Its acts express it. | அதன் செயல்களில் அது வெளிப்படும். |
It is not ignorant. | ஒன்றும் தெரியாததில்லை. |
It is not weak. | வலுவற்றதுமில்லை. |
Its mastery is absolute. | அதன் திறன் பூரணமானது. |
It is peace itself. | அது சாந்தமாகும். |
Ours is an ignorance. | நாம் பெற்றுள்ளது அறியாமை. |
Its origin is light. | அதன் ஆதி ஜோதி. |
Our ignorance reflects that light. | நம் அறியாமை அறிவைப் பிரதிபலிக்கிறது. |
It is a darkened reflection. | அது கறுத்த பிரதிபலிப்பு. |
It is a fulfilment and plenitude. | நிறைவும், பூரணமும் நிறைந்தது. |
Our desires aspire for it. | நம் ஆசை அதை நாடுகிறது. |
Sometimes the desire is crude. | சில சமயங்களில் ஆசை தாழ்ந்ததாகவுமிருக்கும். |
Its material forms are obscure. | அதன் ஜட உருவங்கள் இருண்டவை. |
Our desire is a fallen aspiration. | ஆர்வம் தாழ்ந்து ஆசையாகிறது. |

There are two terms. | இரு நிலைகள் உள. |
They are universe and the individual. | அவை பிரபஞ்சமும், ஜீவாத்மாவுமாகும். |
Each needs the other in their ascent. | இறைவனையடைய ஒன்றிற்கு அடுத்தது தேவை. |
They exist by each other. | ஒன்றால் அடுத்தது வாழ்கிறது. |
They profit by each other. | ஒன்று அடுத்ததற்கு உதவுகிறது. |
The divine All is diffused as universe. | எங்கும் நிறைந்தவன் பிரபஞ்சமுழுவதும் பரவி நிற்கிறான். |
It is diffused in Space and Time. | காலத்திலும், இடத்திலும் அது நிறைகிறது. |
The universe is an extended existence. | பிரபஞ்சம் புருஷனின் புற உருவம். |
It seeks the divine totality there. | நிறைந்தது பூரணத்தைத் தேடுகிறது. |
It feels the totality. But it cannot realise it. | பூரணம் தெரிகிறது. ஆனால் நிலைப்பதில்லை. |
Existence desires pluralistic sum of itself. | சத்தியம் பலவாகி பூரணம் பெற விழைகிறது. |
Extension helps this. | பரவுதல் அதற்குதவும். |
This cannot be primal. | இதுவே ஆதியன்று. |
Nor is it the final unit. | இதுவே முடிவன்று. |
It is a recurring decimal. | தசமபுள்ளிபோல் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் வருவது. |
It has no end, or beginning. | இதற்கு ஆதியும், அந்தமுமில்லை. |
Therefore, it creates a concentration. | எனவே செறிவு ஏற்படுகிறது. |
It is a self-conscious concentration of the All. | இது தன்னை அறியும் செறிவு. |
This is the medium of aspiration. | ஆர்வத்திற்குரிய கருவியிது. |
The individual becomes conscious. | ஜீவன் தன்னை அறிகிறது. |
Prakriti turns back to perceive Purusha. | பிரகிருதி திரும்பி புருஷனைப் பார்க்கிறது. |
World seeks after Self. | உலகம் பிரம்மத்தை நாடுகிறது. |
Nature seeks God. | இயற்கை கடவுளைத் தேடுகிறது. |

There is the other side. | இதற்கு மறுபுறமுண்டு. |
The individual must realise himself. | ஜீவன் தன்னை உணரவேண்டும். |
He does so through the universe. | பிரபஞ்சத்தின் மூலமே ஜீவன் தன்னை உணரமுடியும். |
The universe is his foundation. | பிரபஞ்சம் ஜீவனின் அஸ்திவாரம். |
It is his means. | அதுவே அவன் கருவி. |
Universe is the field of the individual. | ஜீவாத்மாவின் முதல் அரங்கம் பிரபஞ்சம். |
Universe is the stuff of divine work. | இறைவன் திருவிளையாடலுக்குப் பிரபஞ்சமே ஆட்டம். |
Man is the concentration of the universe. | பிரபஞ்சம் செறிந்து மனிதன் ஏற்பட்டான். |
The concentration is within limits. | செறிவு அவனுள்ளேயிருக்கிறது. |
This concentration is different from the unity of Brahman. | பிரம்மம் பெற்ற ஐக்கியம் இதன்று. |
That unity is free from all conception. | அதை மனதால் நினைக்க முடியாது. |
It is boundless, termless. | அளவு, வரைமுறை அற்றது அவ்வைக்கியம். |
It is an intensive unity. | செறிந்த ஐக்கியம் அது. |
The divine All is his reality. | பரவியுள்ள பிரம்மம் அதன் சத்தியம். |
He must manifest it. | அவன் அதை வெளிப்படுத்த வேண்டும். |
For that man must universalise himself. | வெளிப்படுத்த மனிதன் பிரபஞ்சமாக வேண்டும். |
He must impersonalise too. | தனித்தன்மை போய் பொதுத்தன்மை வரவேண்டும். |
Still, he has a sense of personality. | இருந்தும் தான் தனி என்ற உணர்விருக்கும். |
He is obscurely aware of something. | ஏதோ ஒன்றுள்ளது என்று சற்றுத் தெரிகிறது. |
It is transcendent. | அதுவே பரமாத்மா. |
His obscurity is egoistic. | அவனிருள் அகந்தை. |
He is impelled to preserve this representation. | பரமாத்மாவின் பிரதிநிதித்துவத்தைக் காக்க முனைகிறான். |
He is born for this representation. | இதற்காகப் பிறந்தவன் மனிதன். |
The representation is his goal. | இதுவே அவன் இலக்கு. |
It is the problem set to him. | அவனுக்கு இட்ட கட்டளை இது. |
He has to solve it. | இதைத் தீர்ப்பது அவன் கடமை. |
He has to attain the goal. | இலட்சியத்தை அடைய வேண்டும். |
He cannot miss the goal. | அதைத் தவற விடமுடியாது. |

The universe is creation. | பிரபஞ்சம் சிருஷ்டி. |
The individual’s universe is Life. | மனிதனுக்கு அவன் வாழ்வே பிரபஞ்சம். |
The universe comes to the individual as Life. | வாழ்வாகப் பிரபஞ்சம் மனிதனை நாடுகிறது. |
Life is a dynamism. | வாழ்வு தீவிரச் சக்தி வாய்ந்தது. |
It has a secret. | அதற்கொரு இரகஸ்யம் உண்டு. |
Man has to master the secret. | மனிதன் அந்த இரகஸ்யத்தைப் பெற வேண்டும். |
Life has a million results. | வாழ்வில் கோடிக்கணக்கானப் பலன்களுண்டு. |
They collide against each other. | அவை ஒன்றோடொன்று மோதுகின்றன. |
Still there is a hidden order. | பின்னணியில் ஒரு சட்டம் உண்டு. |
It is a supreme order. | அது பரமனின் சட்டம். |
It is an inner harmony. | அது உள்ளுறை சுமுகம். |
It is yet to be realised. | அதை நாம் காணவேண்டும். |
To realise that order is his goal. | அச்சுமுகத்தை அடைவதே இலட்சியம். |
That is the true progress of man. | அதுவே மனித வளர்ச்சியாகும். |
Physical Nature has accomplished. | ஜடமான உலகம் அதனளவில் சாதித்துள்ளது. |
We can repeat it differently. | நாமும் அதைப்போல் சாதிக்கலாம். |
This is not such a repetition. | இன்று நாம் செய்வது அதாகாது. |
The animal is a perfect product. | விலங்கின் வாழ்வு பூரணமானது. |
Man is higher than the animal. | மனிதன் விலங்கைவிட உயர்ந்தவன். |
Man can be a higher animal. | உயர்ந்த விலங்காக அவனால் முடியும். |
This is not such a version. | நான் கூறுவது அதன்று. |
We have had so many systems. | வாழ்க்கையில் பல அமைப்புகளுண்டு. |
They provide a certain well-being. | ஓரளவு வசதியை அவையளிக்கின்றன. |
They offer mental satisfaction. | மனம் அதனால் திருப்தி அடைகிறது. |
This well-being and satisfaction can stop our advance. | வசதியும், திருப்தியும் முன்னேற்றத்தைத் தடை செய்ய முடியும். |
It has not so happened till now. | இதுவரை அப்படித் தடையாகவில்லை. |
The needs of the animal are little. | விலங்கின் தேவை குறைவு. |
It is satisfied with that little. | அதைப் பெற்று விலங்கு திருப்தியடைகிறது. |
The gods live in splendour. | தெய்வங்கள் ஜகஜ்ஜோதியாக இருக்கின்றன. |
They are satisfied. | அவர்கள் திருப்தியடைந்தவர்கள். |
Man is different from animal and gods. | மனிதன் விலங்கிலிருந்தும், தெய்வத்திலிருந்தும் வேறுபட்டவன். |
He cannot rest. | அவனால் சும்மாயிருக்க முடியாது. |
He must reach the goal. | இலக்கை எட்டவேண்டும். |
The goal is highest good. | இலக்கே உயர்ந்த நல்லதாகும். |
Man is discontented. | மனிதனால் எளிதில் திருப்தியடைய முடியாது. |
He is limited. | மனிதன் அளவுக்குட்பட்டவன். |
The limitations give him pressure. | வரையறை அவனுக்குத் திணறலாக இருக்கிறது. |
Therefore, he is the greatest living being. | எனவே உலகிலுள்ள உயர்ந்த ஜீவன் மனிதன். |
The ideal is remote. | இலட்சியம் வெகு தூரம். |
The divine energy is there to reach it. | தெய்வீகச் சக்தி அதைச் சாதிக்கும். |
Man alone can receive that energy. | மனிதன் மட்டுமே அச்சக்தியைப் பெறமுடியும். |

The Life-Spirit has potentialities. | வாழ்வின் ஜீவனுக்கு ஏராளமான திறனுண்டு. |
They centre in the individual. | அவை மனிதனிலுள்ளன. |
That individual is the Purusha. | மனிதன் என்பவன் புருஷன். |
That way the Purusha is pre-eminent. | எனவே புருஷன் என்பது தலையாயது. |
God is in all things. | கடவுள் அனைத்திலுமுள்ளார். |
Every object incarnates God. | எப்பொருளும் தெய்வ அவதாரம். |
But, Man is supreme for that purpose. | ஆனால், மனிதன் அவர்களுள் தலைசிறந்தவன். |
This Man is Manu. | மனிதன் என்பவன் மனு. |
He is the thinker. | அவன் சிந்திப்பவன். |
He is Manomaya Purusha. | அவன் மனோமயபுருஷன். |
He is the mental person. | அவனே மனத்தின் புருஷன். |
He is soul in mind. | அவனே மனத்தின் ஆன்மா. |
So said the ancient sages. | இவை ரிஷிகள் கூறியவை. |
He is not a superior mammal. | மனிதன் உயர்ந்த விலங்கல்லன். |
He is a conceptive soul. | மனிதன் சிந்திக்கும் ஆன்மா. |
His base is the animal body. | விலங்குடம்பு அவனுக்கு அடிப்படை. |
That body is Matter. | உடல் ஜடம். |
He is conscious. | மனிதன் தன்னை அறிந்தவன். |
He is Name or Numen. | நாமம் அவன் பெற்றது. |
He has chosen his own form. | தனக்குரிய உருவத்தைப் பெற்றவன். |
That form is his medium. | உருவமே அவனது வழி. |
Person deals with substance. | மனிதன் பொருளால் செயல்படுகிறான். |
For that the body serves the purpose. | அதற்கு உடல் உறுதுணை. |
Life emerges out of Matter. | ஜடத்திலிருந்து வாழ்வு எழுகிறது. |
It is animal life. | அது விலங்கின் வாழ்வு. |
Man has several terms of existence. | மனித வாழ்வுக்குரிய நிலைகள் அநேகம். |
This animal life is an inferior term. | விலங்கின் வாழ்வு தாழ்ந்தது. |
Man has feeling, thought, will, impulse. | உணர்வு, சிந்தனை, உறுதி, உந்துதல் மனிதனுக்குண்டு. |
All these together are Mind. | இவை சேர்ந்தது மனம். |
Mind tries to seize Matter. | ஜடத்தை மனம் ஆட்சி செய்ய முயல்கிறது. |
Matter has energies. | ஜடத்திற்குச் சக்தியுண்டு. |
Mind tries to impose its law on these energies. | மனம் இச்சக்திகளை தன் சட்டத்திற்குட்படுத்த முயல்கிறது. |
Mind tries to transform Matter and its energies. | ஜடத்தையும், அதன் சக்திகளையும் உருமாற்ற மனம் முயல்கின்றது. |
Mind is Man’s middle term. | மனம் மனிதனின் சராசரி நிலை. |
It is his effectual station. | அவன் செயல்படும் நிலையது. |
There is a superior term. | உயர்ந்த நிலையொன்றுண்டு. |
Mind searches after it. | மனம் அதைத் தேடுகிறது. |
If he finds, he can affirm it. | அது கிடைத்தால், அதையே முடிவானதாகக் கொள்ளலாம். |
His mental and bodily existence are That. | மனத்தாலும், உடலாலும் வாழும் வாழ்வு மனிதனுடையது. |
This is practical affirmation. | இதுவே நடைமுறைக்கு முடிவு. |
It is an affirmation of something superior. | உயர்ந்ததை உறுதிப்படுத்துவது இது. |
It is superior to his self. | மனிதனைவிட உயர்ந்தது இது. |
This is the basis of divine life. | இதுவே தெய்வீக வாழ்வின் அடிப்படை. |

Man develops a mental idea of himself. | தன்னைப்பற்றி மனிதனுக்கு ஓர் அபிப்பிராயமுண்டு. |
This is his first knowledge. | இது மனிதன் பெற்ற முதல் அறிவு. |
Later he is awakened. | அதன்பின் மனிதன் விழிப்புறுகிறான். |
Now he gets self-knowledge. | விழிப்புற்றபின் ஆத்ம ஞானம் பெறுகிறான். |
It is profounder than the first. | இது முந்தையதைவிடப் பெரியது. |
He tries to think. | மனிதன் சிந்திக்கின்றான். |
He wants to arrive at a formula. | ஒரு சூத்திரத்தைக் காண முடிவு செய்கிறான். |
He wants to affirm something. | ஏதோ ஒரு விஷயத்தை முடிவு செய்ய முயல்கிறான். |
This he begins to conceive. | இதைப்பற்றி சிந்திக்கின்றான். |
He sees two negations. | இரு சூனியங்கள் தெரிகின்றன. |
They are opposite negations. | அவை எதிரானவை. |
He is between them. | மனிதன் அவற்றிடையேயுள்ளான். |
His poise does not help him. | இடைப்பட்ட நிலை உதவவில்லை. |
This is his present attainment. | இதுவே மனிதன் இதுவரை சாதித்தது. |
He does perceive beyond. | இதைக் கடந்தும் அவனால் காணமுடிகிறது. |
There he is touched by a power. | அங்கொரு சக்தி அவனைத் தீண்டுகிறது. |
Light and bliss too touch him. | ஜோதியும், ஆனந்தமும் அவனைத் தீண்டுகின்றன. |
These are powers of infinite existence. | இவை அனந்தனின் சக்தி ரூபங்கள். |
It is a self-conscious existence. | இது ஆத்மஞானம் பெற்ற சத்தியம். |
What he sees, he cannot express. | தான் கண்டதை மனிதனால் விண்டுரைக்க முடியாது. |
He can express them in his own words. | தன் சொந்த சொற்களால் அவனால் கூற முடியும். |
That is convenient to his mentality. | அவன் மனப்போக்குக்கு அது உகந்தது. |
He calls them Infinity, Omniscience, | அனந்தம், எல்லாம் அறிந்தவன், எல்லாம் வல்லவன், அமரத்வம், |
Omnipotence, Immortality, Freedom, Love are other names. | சுதந்திரம், அன்பு என மனிதன் தான் கண்டவற்றை விவரிக்கின்றான். |
Beatitude and God too are his words. | தெய்வம், ஆனந்தானுபவம் என்றும் கூறுகிறான். |
He has now SEEN the sun. | சூரியனை மனிதன் கண்டுவிட்டான். |
But the opposites remain. | என்றாலும், எதிரானவை உள்ளன. |
They are a double Night. | இரு இருட்டுகள் அவை. |
A real darkness below. | உண்மையான இருட்டு அடியிலுள்ளது. |
A mightier darkness beyond. | பேரிருட்டு மேலுள்ளது. |
He strives better. | அவன் பெருமுயற்சி செய்கிறான். |
He seeks for higher understanding. | முழுமையான ஞானத்தைத் தேடுகிறான். |
They elude his understanding. | அது அவனுக்குக் கிடைக்கவில்லை. |
The opposites pass into something. | எதிரானவை வேறு உருவம் பெறுகின்றன. |
All these words cannot describe it. | இவற்றை எல்லாம் சொற்களால் விவரிக்க முடியாது. |
All these words put together still fail to explain them. | மேற்சொன்ன எல்லா விளக்கங்களும் சேர்ந்தும் மனிதன் கண்டவற்றை விவரிக்க இயலாது. |
At last he negates God. | முடிவாக, கடவுளில்லை என்றான் மனிதன். |
He assumes a Beyond. | தன்னைக் கடந்தது ஒன்றுண்டு என்று நினைக்கின்றான். |
God transcends, he thinks, Himself. | கடவுள், தம்மையே கடந்தவர் எனவும் நினைக்கின்றான். |
God denies Himself to conception. | கடவுள் சிந்தனையில் அகப்படவில்லை. |
He looks at the world. | மனிதன் உலகைக் காண்கிறான். |
He looks around. | தன்னைச் சுற்றியும் காண்கிறான். |
He meets the opposites of his affirmation. | தான் முடிவு செய்ததின் எதிரானவற்றைக் காண்கிறான். |
Death is ever with him. | மரணம் என்றும் அவனுடனுள்ளது. |
His being is limited. | அவனது ஜீவன் அளவுக்குட்பட்டது. |
His effort meets with resistances. | அவன் முயற்சிக்கு எதிர்ப்புண்டு. |
Error rises. | தவறு நடக்கிறது. |
Inconscience opposes. | ஜடம் எதிர்க்கிறது. |
Weakness defeats. | பலஹீனம் தோற்கடிக்கிறது. |
Inertia resists. | தடங்கல் எதிர்க்கிறது. |
Grief hurts. | கவலை துன்புறுத்துகிறது. |
Pain kills. | வலி உயிரை எடுக்கிறது. |
Evil looms large. | தீமை நடனமாடுகிறது. |
They oppress his effort. | அவை மனித முயற்சியை எதிர்க்கின்றன. |
He finds no God here also. | இவற்றுள் கடவுளைக் காணவில்லை. |
He denies God. | எனவே மனிதன் கடவுளில்லை என்கிறான். |
The Divine negates itself. | கடவுள் தன்னையே இல்லை என்கிறது. |
It hides behind appearances. | தோற்றத்தின் பின் கடவுள் மறைந்துள்ளான். |
The outcome of life is not true. | இவை வாழ்விலிருந்து வெளிவருபவை. உண்மையல்ல. |
Nor is it eternal. | இவை சத்தியமுமில்லை, |
It is not the reality. | இவை நித்தியமுமில்லை. |
These denials are understandable. | இப்படியெல்லாம் இல்லை என்பது நாம் ஏற்கக்கூடியதே. |

The other denial is remote. | வேறு மறுப்புகள் சக்தி வாய்ந்தவையல்ல. |
It is a negation. | அவை இல்லை என்பவை. |
It is inconceivable. | நினைக்க முடியாதவை. |
It is mysterious. | புரியாத புதிர். |
But this denial is knowable. | ஆனால் இம்மறுப்பை நாம் அறிய முடியும். |
It is definite. | இது தெளிவானது. |
Still, this too is a mystery. | இருப்பினும், இதுவும் புதிரானது. |
He knows not what they are, why they exist, how they came into being. | அவை என்ன, ஏனிருக்கின்றன, எப்படி உற்பத்தியாயின என்று தெரியாது. |
He sees their processes. | அவை உற்பத்தியான வகையை அவனறிவான். |
They affect his life. | அவன் வாழ்வை அவை பாதிக்கக் கூடியவை. |
Still he cannot fathom their reality. | என்றாலும் அவற்றின் சத்தியத்தை அவனால் அறிய முடியவில்லை. |

Perhaps they are unfathomable. | காண முடியாத ஆழத்திலிருக்கலாம். |
They are really unknowable. | உண்மையிலேயே அவை அறிய முடியாதவை. |
Their essence escapes us. | அவற்றின் சாரம் நமக்குப் புலப்படுவதில்லை. |
Maybe they have no essence. | ஒரு வேளை, அவற்றிற்குச் சாரமேயில்லையோ? |
Maybe they are an illusion, Asat, non-being. | அவை மாயையோ, அசத்தோ, ஜீவனற்றதோ? |
Above is the superior Negation. | மேலே உயர்ந்த மறுப்பு. |
We think it is Nihil, Non-Existence. | அதை, சூன்யம் என நாம் கருதுகிறோம். |
Below is the inferior Negation. | கீழே தாழ்ந்த மறுப்பு. |
Maybe this too is Nihil, a non-existence. | இதுவும் சூன்யமோ? |
Already we considered this. | இதையும் ஏற்கனவே கண்டோம். |
This evades the difficulty. | இது அறிவுக்குப் புலப்படுவதில்லை. |
We accepted the difficulty with the higher. | உயர்ந்த மறுப்பில் இதை நாம் ஏற்றோம். |
So, we accept this below also. | எனவே கீழேயும் அதை ஏற்போம். |
We cannot deny their reality. | இவற்றின் சத்தியத்தை மறுக்க முடியாது. |
We cannot escape them. | இவை தவிர்க்க முடியாதவை. |
We cannot call it disastrous illusion. | ஆபத்தான மாயை என நாம் அதைக் கூற முடியாது. |
That is to shun our work. | அது நம் கடமையைத் தவிர்ப்பதாகும். |
That is to shelve the problem. | பிரச்சினையை ஒதுக்குவது போலாகும். |
These things deny God. | இவை கடவுளில்லை என்கின்றன. |
But, for Life they are real. | ஆனால், வாழ்வில் அவை உண்மைகள். |
They are opposites of Sachchidananda. | அவை சச்சிதானந்தத்திற்கு எதிரானவை. |
They are temporary, but real. | அவை தற்காலிகமானவை, ஆனால் உண்மை. |
Their opposites are good, joy, knowledge, pleasure, life, survival, strength, power. | நல்லது, சந்தோஷம், ஞானம், இன்பம், வாழ்வு, பிழைப்பது, வலிமை, சக்தி ஆகியவை இவற்றின் எதிரிகள். |
They are the true material for Life. | இவை வாழ்வின் உண்மையான கூறுகள். |

Probably they are the result of a wrong view. | தவறான கருத்தால் அவை ஏற்பட்டிருக்கலாம். |
A view founded on falsity is wrong. | பொய்யை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு எழுந்த கருத்து தவறு. |
The opposites may be accompaniments. | எதிரானவை உடனுறைபவை. |
They may be inseparable. | அவை பிரிக்க முடியாதவைகளாக இருக்கலாம். |
They may not be an illusion. | அவை மாயையில்லை. |
The view of the individual may be false. | மனித எண்ணம் பொய்யாக இருக்கலாம். |
The attitude to God may be false. | கடவுளைப்பற்றிய நினைவு தவறாக இருக்கலாம். |
Nature, self, environment may be wrongly understood. | இயற்கை, ஆன்மா, சூழ்நிலைகளைத் தவறாகப் புரிந்து கொண்டிருக்கலாம். |
God has become all these things. | இவை எல்லாம் கடவுளே. |
But, he is out of harmony with them. | ஆனால் கடவுளுக்கும் இவற்றிற்கும் சுமுகமில்லை. |
The world is out of harmony with things there. | உலகம் இங்கு சுமுகத்தை இழந்துவிட்டது. |
God is Pure. | கடவுள் தூய்மையானவர். |
He has to be Pure. | அவர் தூய்மையாக இருப்பதவசியம். |
But we do not find so. | ஆனால் நாம் காண்பது அதன்று. |
Therefore the contradictions may arise. | எனவே பிணக்கு எழுகிறது. |
The appearance and secret of Truth are out of harmony. | தோற்றமும், உள்ளுறை சத்தியஇரகஸ்யமும் பிணக்கானவை. |
Man’s work first meets them. | மனிதச் செயல் முதலில் காண்பது இவற்றையே. |
They are the first elements of his work. | முதற்காரியமாக மனிதன் சந்திப்பவை இவை. |
He has to fulfill them. | மனிதன் இவற்றைப் பூர்த்தி செய்ய வேண்டும். |
He has a crown to win. | கிரீடம் காத்திருக்கிறது. |
For that he has a price to pay. | அதைப் பெறும் முயற்சி அவனுடையது. |
This is a way of escape for Matter. | ஜடம் இதன் வழியாகத் தப்பிக்கலாம். |
Matter escapes into conciousness thus. | ஜடம் ஜீவியத்தை அடையும் வழி இது. |
It is man’s ransom. | தன்னைக் காப்பாற்ற மனிதன் கட்டும் கப்பமிது. |
But it is also his stock. | ஆனால், இதுவே மனிதனுடைய முதல். |
Of course there are false relations. | பொய்யான உறவுகள் உள்ளன. |
It is by their aid the true has to be found. | பொய் மூலமாக மெய்யைக் காண முடியும். |
By Ignorance, we have to cross over death. | அறியாமை மூலம் நாம் மரணத்தைக் கடக்க வேண்டும். |
The Vedas speak cryptically. | வேதம் இவற்றைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டுகிறது. |
They describe energies like evil woman. | தீய பெண்ணின் திறனை வேதம் விவரிக்கின்றது. |
These women are evil in impulse. | இப்பெண்கள் உள்ளுணர்வு தீமையானது. |
They hurt their Lord. | தம் கணவரைப் பாதிப்பவர் இவர். |
They wander from their path. | தங்கள் பாதையிலிருந்து விலகுகின்றனர். |

They are false. | அவை தவறு. |
They are unhappy. | அவர்களுக்குச் சந்தோஷமில்லை. |
But, they build this Vast Truth. | ஆனால், அவர்கள் இப்பெருஞ் சத்தியத்தை வளர்க்கிறார்கள். |
That Truth is Bliss. | சத்தியம் ஆனந்தமானது. |
The evil is not to be excised. | தீமையைத் துண்டிக்க முடியாது. |
Cutting evil out of Nature will be a moral surgery. | இயற்கையிலிருந்து தீமையைத் துண்டிப்பது மனம் செய்யும் சஸ்திர சிகிச்சையாகும். |
One can recoil from evil life. | தீமையிலிருந்து விலகலாம். |
One may feel abhorrent. | தீமையைக் கண்டு மனம் வெறுப்படையலாம். |
But, he must turn Death into more perfect life. | ஆனால் மரணத்தை மாற்றி பூரண வாழ்வாக்க வேண்டும். |
Things are small. | பொருள்கள் சிறியவை. |
They suffer human limitation. | மனிதனின் சிறுமை அவற்றிற்குண்டு. |
Change the small into great. | சிறியதைப் பெரியதாக்க வேண்டும். |
Widen the limitation into divine vastness. | அளவானதை ஆண்டவனின் அகண்டமாக்க வேண்டும். |
Transform suffering into beatitude. | துன்பத்தை ஆனந்த அனுபவமாக்க வேண்டும். |
Convert evil into good. | தீமையை நன்மையாக மாற்றவேண்டும். |
Translate error into its secret. | தவற்றை அதன் உள்ளுறை சத்தியஇரகஸ்யமாக மாற்ற வேண்டும். |
Transform falsehood into truth. | பொய்யை மெய்யாக்க வேண்டும். |
Then the sacrifice will be accomplished. | அப்பொழுது தியாகம் பூர்த்தியாகும். |
The journey will be completed. | யாத்திரை முடியும். |
Heaven and Earth will be equalised. | சுவர்க்கமும், பூவுலகமும் சமமாகும். |
They would join hands. | அவை இணையும். |
It would be bliss of the Supreme. | பரமனின் ஆனந்தமாகும். |

There are contraries. | அவை எதிரானவை. |
How can they pass into each other? | எப்படி ஒன்று மற்றதில் இணையும்? |
Our life is lead of mortality. | மரணப்பிடிப்பிலுள்ளது நம் வாழ்வு. இரும்பு போன்றது. |
The opposite is gold of divine Being. | எதிரானது இறைவனின் தங்கம். |
It requires an alchemy for the change. | இம்மாற்றமெழ இரஸவாதம் தேவை. |
Where is that alchemy? | எங்கே அந்த இரஸவாதம்? |
Suppose their essences are not contrary. | அவற்றின் சாரம் எதிரானவையில்லை என்றால்... |
Suppose both are manifestations of one Reality. | இரண்டும் ஒரே சத்தியத்தின் வெளிப்பாடானவை எனில்... |
If their substances are identical, then it is possible. | அவற்றின் பொருள் ஒன்றானால் இரஸவாதம் நடக்கும். |
A divine transmutation is then possible. | இறைவன் திருவுருமாற்றம் செய்ய முடியும். |
Para No. 17 | |
Earlier we considered Non-Being. | முன்பு நாம் ஜடத்தைக் கண்டோம். |
We said it was an inconceivable existence. | அது நினைவுக்கெட்டாத ஜீவன் என்றோம். |
It may be ineffable Bliss too. | விவரிக்க முடியாத ஆனந்தமுமாகும். |
Buddhist Nirvana has a formulation. | புத்தர் நிர்வாணம் ஒரு சூத்திரம் தருகிறது. |
It is the most luminous effort of man. | மனிதனுடைய புனித முயற்சியாகும் அது. |
That takes us to this highest Non-Existence. | ஜடத்தில் உயர்ந்த நிலைக்கு நம்மை அழைத்துப்போகும். |
It represents an unspeakable peace. | விவரிக்க முடியாத அமைதியை அது காட்டுகிறது. |
It is a psychology of gladness. | சந்தோஷத்தின் சாஸ்திரம் அது. |
It has a practical effect. | அதற்கு நடைமுறைப் பலனுண்டு. |
It wipes out suffering and ego. | துன்பத்தையும், அகந்தையையும் அது அழிக்கிறது. |
All idea and sensation disappear. | எண்ணமும், உணர்வும் மறைகின்றன. |
We can try to have a positive conception of it. | நாம் அதைப் புரிந்து கொள்ள முயல்வோம். |
It is an inexpressible Beatitude. | விவரிக்கவொண்ணாத ஆனந்த அனுபவமிது. |
Even the notion of self-existence disappears. | நாமிருக்கின்றோம் என்ற கருத்தும் மறைகிறது. |
[Can we give this name to it? | [நாம் அதற்குப் பெயரிட முடியுமா? |
Can any name be given to it?] | எந்தப் பெயரையாவது தரமுடியுமா?] |
It is Sachchidananda. | அது சச்சிதானந்தம். |
We dare not apply that to it. | அதைச் சச்சிதானந்தம் என்று சொல்ல அச்சமாக இருக்கிறது. |
Sat, Chit, Ananda are supreme terms. | சத், சித், ஆனந்தம் ஆகியவை புனிதச் சொற்கள். |
Still, it cannot be used. | இருப்பினும் அவற்றைப் பயன்படுத்த முடியாது. |
Nirvana annuls all terms. | நிர்வாணம் எனில் அனைத்தும் அழியும். |
All cognitive experience is overpassed here. | சிந்தனையின் உருவங்கள் அனைத்தும் கடந்து செல்லும். |
Para No. 18 | |
We have assumed a suggestion. | நாம் ஓர் அடிப்படையைக் கருதுகிறோம். |
It is all is one Reality. | அனைத்தும் பிரம்மம் என்பதே அது. |
Therefore this too is Sachchidananda. | எனவே இதுவும் சச்சிதானந்தம். |
Of course this is a negation. | இது மறுப்பு. |
And an inferior negation at that. | தாழ்ந்த மறுப்பு. |
Still our premiss points to that. | என்றாலும் நம் கொள்கை இதையே கூறுகிறது. |
The intellect can conceive of it. | அறிவுக்கு அது புலப்படும். |
The vision can perceive it. | திருஷ்டிக்கு அது தெரியும். |
It can be sensed too. | அதை உணரமுடியும். |
It can be sensed through denial. | இல்லை என்பதன் மூலம் அதை உணரமுடியும். |
That would be our conscious experience. | அது நாமறிந்து பெறும் அனுபவம். |
But there is a fundamental error. | இதில் அடிப்படையான தவறுண்டு. |
There is a compelling Ignorance. | அறியாமை ஆட்சி செலுத்துகிறது. |
Maya or Avidya play their part. | மாயையும், அகந்தையும் தங்கள் பங்கை நிறைவேற்றுகின்றன. |
These prevent the true experience. | உண்மை அனுபவம் அவற்றால் தடை பெறுகிறது. |
This is our sense. | இதுவே நம் உணர்வு. |
By this, a solution is possible. | இதன் மூலம் தீர்வு காணமுடியும். |
It is not a metaphysical solution. | இது தத்துவரீதியான தீர்வன்று. |
It cannot satisfy a logical mind. | தர்க்கம் ஏற்காது. |
We are on the borderline of the unknowable. | பிரம்மத்தின் எல்லையில் நாமுள்ளோம். |
We strain our eyes beyond. | புருவத்தை நெறித்துப் பார்க்கிறோம். |
But, the solution can be practised. | ஆனால், தீர்வு நடைமுறைக்கு உதவும். |
It would be true in our experience. | நம் அனுபவப்படி உண்மையாக இருக்கும். |

We can do this. | நம்மால் இது முடியும். |
We must go below the surface. | நாம் மேல் நிலையைக் கடந்து செல்லவேண்டும். |
Mind loves to dwell on the surface. | மனம் மேல் நிலைக்குரியது. |
Mind tempts the vast and obscure. | மனம் அகன்ற இருளைத் தீண்டுகிறது. |
It penetrates the unfathomable depths. | ஆழங்காணாத நிலையை ஊடுருவுகிறது. |
Then we can identify states of being. | அங்கு ஜீவனின் பல நிலைகளைக் காணலாம். |
They are not our own. | அவை நமக்குரியதல்ல. |
It is a great search. | அது பெரிய ஆராய்ச்சி. |
Human language is poor there. | நம் மொழி திறனற்றது. |
We may find some symbols and figures. | சில அறிகுறிகளையும், உருவங்களையும் காணலாம். |
We may stumble upon hints. | தடயங்கள் காணலாம். |
They may be of help. | அவை உதவும். |
They would light the soul. | ஆன்மாவை அவை விளக்கும். |
The ineffable design can offer reflections. | விளங்க இயலாதது சிந்தனையைக் கிளறும். |
They might light the surface mind. | அது மேல் மனத்தைத் தெளிவுபடுத்தும். |
