Existence can be phenomenal.

நாம் சிருஷ்டியில் தோற்றத்தை அறிவோம்.

It can have experience.

அது அனுபவத்தை நாடுகிறது.

That experience can be self- presentation.

தன்னைத் தானே உணரும் அனுபவம் அது.

In that existence resolves itself.

அனுபவத்தில் சத் புருஷன் மாறுகிறான்.

It resolves itself into Force.

சத் புருஷன் சக்தியாக மாறுகிறான்.

Force is a movement of energy.

(Force) சக்தி என்பது (energy) சக்தியின் சலனம்.

This energy assumes various forms.

சக்தி பல்வேறு ரூபங்களில் வரும்.

Those forms can be more or less material.

இவ்உருவங்கள் கிட்டத்தட்ட ஜட உருவங்களாக இருக்கும்.

They can also be more or less gross.

அவை கிட்டத்தட்ட பொருளாலான உருவங்களாகவுமிருக்கும்.

They can even be subtle forms.

அவை சூட்சும உருவங்களாகவுமிருக்கும்.

In ancient days human thought created images.

பண்டை நாளில் மனிதன் பிம்பங்களை உற்பத்தி செய்தான்.

It tried an image of this origin.

ஆதியான இந்நிலைக்குரிய பிம்பம், ரூபம், தயாரிக்க முயன்றான்.

The origin is a law of being.

ஆதி ஜீவனுக்குரிய சட்டம்.

It tried to make it real to itself

இதுபோன்ற பிம்பம் தனக்குத் தெளிவாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.

It tried to make it intelligible

அது தனக்குப் புரிய வேண்டும் எனவும் கருதினான்.

The origin is an infinite existence of Force

ஆதி என்பது சக்திக்கு முன்னிலையான சத் புருஷனாகும்.

This was figured as a sea by them.

அதை, கடல், சமுத்திரம் எனக் கூறினர்.

They conceived it at rest initially.

முதலில் அது சலனமற்றிருந்ததாகச் சொன்னார்கள்.

At rest, it had no forms.

அமைதியான நிலையில், அதற்கு ரூபம் இல்லை.

It moved.

சலனம் எழுந்தது.

It was the first initiation.

அதுவே முதல் அசைவு, ஆரம்பம்.

It created forms.

ரூபங்களைச் சலனம் உற்பத்தி செய்தது.

Forms were necessary for that movement.

சலனமெழ ரூபம் தேவை.

It is the seed of the universe.

அது பிரபஞ்சத்தின் வித்து -பீஜம்.

Matter is the presentation of force

ஜடம் என்பது சக்தி.

Force is most easily intelligible.

சக்தியை உணர முடியும்.

It is our intelligence that perceives.

உணர்வது நம் புத்தி.

It is moulded by contacts in Matter.

ஜடம் ஜடத்தோடு இணைவதால் ஏற்படுவது ஜடம்.

That is how it is.

இவ்விதமாக ஜடம் உள்ளது.

Mind is involved in the brain.

மனம் மூளையிலுள்ளது.

The brain gives the response to matter.

மூளையிலுள்ள மனம் ஜடத்தை உணருகிறது.

The old Indian physicists had a view.

பழைய இந்திய விஞ்ஞானிகளுக்கோர் அபிப்பிராயமிருந்தது.

They describe the material Force.

அவர்கள் ஜடசக்தியை விளக்குகிறார்கள்.

They tell us about its elementary state.

அதன் ஆரம்ப நிலையைக் கூறுகிறார்கள்.

It is a condition of pure material extension in Space.

ஜடம் தன்னை விரிவுபடுத்தி இடமாக்குவது அந்நிலை.

It has a peculiar property.

அதற்கு ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட குணம் உண்டு.

It is a variation of sound.

அது சப்தம்.

Sound typifies it to us.

சப்தம் அக்குணத்தைக் குறிக்கும்.

We want to create forms.

நாம் ரூபங்களை உருவாக்க முயல்கிறோம்.

Vibration in this state of ether is not enough,

வெளியின் கதிர் இந்நிலையில் நமக்குப் பயன்படாது.

To create forms, obstruction must be there.

உருவம் உருவாகத் தடை அவசியம்.

The force must be obstructed.

சக்தியைத் தடை செய்ய வேண்டும்.

There must be contraction.

அது சுருங்குவது அவசியம்.

Also, expansion must be there.

விரிவடைவதும் அவசியம்.

Interplay of vibration too is necessary.

கதிர்கள் கலந்து செயல்படுவதும் அவசியம்.

Force must impinge upon force.

சக்தி, சக்தியுடன் மோத வேண்டும்.

That creates a fixed relation.

அதனால் நிலையான தொடர்பு ஏற்படும்.

It also creates mutual effects.

இரு பக்கமும் அது பலன் தரும்.

Material Force's first status is ethereal.

ஜடசக்தியின் முதல் நிலை ஆகாயம்.

It modifies it further.

அதை மேலும் மாற்றுகிறது.

The second status is called aerial.

இரண்டாம் நிலையை வெளி என்கிறோம்.

It is the old language.

இது ஆதி நாள் மொழி.

It has a special property.

அதற்குக் குறிப்பிட்ட குணமுண்டு.

It is a contact between force and force.

சக்தியும் சக்தியும் சந்திக்கின்றன.

This is the basis of all relations.

இதுவே எல்லாத் தொடர்புக்கும் அடிப்படை

This contact is the basis.

தொடர்பு அடிப்படை.

Still real forms are not created.

இருப்பினும் உண்மையில் உருவம் எழவில்லை.

What we have is only varying forces.

மாறும் சக்திகளை நாம் காண்கிறோம்.

A sustaining principle is needed.

நிரந்தரமான தத்துவம் தேவை.

This is provided by a third modification.

மூன்றாம் மாறுதல் எழுகிறது.

It is a self-modification.

இது தன்னைத் தானே மாற்றுவது.

It modifies the primitive Force.

ஆதி சக்தியை மாற்றுகிறது.

The principle here is light.

இங்கு ஒளி தத்துவம்.

It is light, electricity, heat and fire.

அது ஒளி, மின்சாரம், உஷ்ணம், நெருப்பு.

Fire and heat are the characteristic manifestation.

நெருப்பும், உஷ்ணமும் இவை வெளிப்படுவதைக் குறிக்கின்றன.

Even then, we can have forms of force.

அப்படி என்றாலும் அவை சக்தியின் ரூபங்களாக இருக்கும்.

They will preserve their own character.

அவற்றிற்குத் தங்கள் சொந்தக் குணம் முத்திரையாய் விளங்கும்.

They will also preserve their peculiar action.

தங்களுக்கேயுரிய குறிப்பிட்ட செயலையும் அவை பெற்றிருக்கும்.

Still stable forms of Matter will not be there.

இருப்பினும், நிலையான ஜட உருவங்கள் எழா.

There is a fourth state.

இது நான்காம் நிலை.

It is characterised by diffusion.

இதன் முக்கியக் குணம் விரைந்து பரவுதல்.

It will be a first medium for the next stage.

அடுத்த நிலைக்கு அது முதல் வழி.

It is of permanent attractions.

நிரந்தரக் கவர்ச்சியுடையது.

Also of repulsions.

கவர்ச்சியுடன் விலக்கும் திறனும் உடையது.

It is termed water or liquid state.

அதை நாம் தண்ணீர் அல்லது திரவம் என்கிறோம்.

This is water.

இது தண்ணீர், ஜலம்.

A fifth state is also there.

ஐந்தாம் நிலையும் உண்டு.

It is a state of cohesion.

அது ஒட்டிக் கொள்ளும் தன்மையுடையது.

It is a solid state.

அது கெட்டியானது.

It is earth, as they called it.

நாம் அதை மண், பூமி என்கிறோம்.

These are the elements.

இவை பூதங்களாகும்.

They are necessary.

அவை அவசியம்.

இத்துடன் பட்டியல் முடிகிறது.
